About
Become a fearless captain in Buccaneers!, a classic pirate RPG. Change the course of history and join a faction with unique abilities to conquer an ever-changing Caribbean sea. Featuring hours of replayability, Buccaneers! lets you find legendary treasures, battle powerful ships and leave your mark on the world. Will you bring about a new Golden Age, or stomp out piracy once and for all?

Pledge your allegiance to one of four factions with unique abilities tailored to different playstyles. Sign up with the British, French or Spanish empires or join the fearsome Buccaneers’ League and fight for dominance in the region. Each faction’s starting location and number of colonies changes when you start a new game, tipping the balance of power and allowing endless possibilities.

Take command of your own sailing warship and engage in intense naval battles where superior strategy wins the day. Sink or capture enemy ships and storm coastal forts to gain land for your faction, then upgrade your ship and expand your fleet to become the most feared captain in the Caribbean!

Whether you’re boarding a ship, assaulting a fort or sneaking into an enemy harbour in the dead of night, you have a wide variety of melee and ranged weapons at your disposal. Equip up to five weapons such as swords, pistols and muskets and switch weapons on-the-fly to deal with any situation.

Buccaneers! is fully-playable in VR as well as standard mode, with shared game saves between both modes. In VR, your full-scale warship is brought to life as you steer it by hand and use any combination of melee and ranged weapons to slay your foes however you want.

Had huge potential but got abandoned with a fracture of content and fixes to count it as fully playable game
Dead Game. Had potential but was almost immediately abandoned by devs
shortest campaign ever, had good opportunitys for updates or adding a co-op mode, they shouldve added maybe legendary ships (like from ac4) or side quests to find them (for money and xp and most ai ships use chain shot all the time instead of round shot.. and to further add. vr is absolulety terrible if you wana play somthing like this just mod ac4 or wait for the resynced remake of ac4
Ever wanted a non head ache inducing Sea of thieves that doesnt blind you with bloom effects nor disconnects at all times? Well, this is "we have Sea of Thieves at home"! For better or for worse, a simpler yet chiller (albeit very buggy) experience for obviously a fraction of the price.
Im sorry about this game. It had potential, but abandoned and unfinished.
its so sad, it has so much potential, but its abandonware
Cool single-player game with a very interesting story and features, but it has bugs and issues, so buy it only at a 50% discount or more.
Game is bizzarely well made for what it is. If you want to play a ship sim kinda game this fits the bill. It's not like Sea of Theives but more like Assassins Creed Black Flag. Having a good time so far. Would have be REAL cool to be able to do coop with a friend who could be on the deck of the ship running around doing stuff but the way it is, is still pretty cool.
Fantastic game to me, if you have a fun imagination like me you will enjoy this.
Very nice naval combat game. Shame about the scale. Would be fun to do large scale battles.
