“I’m the Batter. I’ve been entrusted with a sacred mission.” -- One of the most influential RPGs of the last 20 years is finally coming to Steam. Take control of the Batter as he seeks to purify an uncanny and hopeless world haunted by specters, guided by a cryptic, grinning cat called The Judge.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.57/day in the week to Aug 15 → 4.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
I must say, this is really quite strange. You are the first living being I have ever met in this place. Nevertheless, I will introduce myself. I am the Judge.

He seeks to purify the world. You, then, the controller, the soul that he harbors, must aid him in this laudable task. Alongside my sportive companion you will find it necessary to solve puzzles, rain blows upon certain hostile individuals of our wild zones, and oversee the headways and logistics of a network of swan boats and interurban locomotives.

Open your wings and fly toward the zones ahead without hesitation! All of them are filled with strange and enchanting beings as well as every modern convenience. All of them appear, it must be said, to require the beneficient application of our friend the Batter’s muscular wrist. Do not worry, my dear phantasm—I, the Judge, will be with you (in spirit and body) at all the most crucial moments of your quest.

How dare you talk to me? Why have you decided to be such a pain in my ass? The Queen chose me to protect Zone 1, and I've dedicated my whole life to it.
Listen. Get out of here, and take those ghosts with you, or I am going to kill you. I hope that's clear enough.

la mejor parte es cuando el bateador dice "es hora de offear" 10/10
-DNF- Interesting game; the art style is cool, and I loved the OST. I have not played the original, so I cannot compare whether it's better or worse. I can see how this inspired the popular indie RPGs of today. Sadly brought down a lot by repetitive and tedious combat. I enjoyed the art and sprites; pretty cool and surreal. The battle OST in Zone 2 was awesome as well. But sadly, I cannot finish this game as the combat is way too boring for me. A lot of random encounters every 5 steps that are just repetitive and annoying; puzzles are okay, but nothing exciting either. The characters are okay. But I can't comment much on them since I did not finish the story. If you don't mind old JRPG combat with random encounters, you will probably enjoy the gameplay way more than I did. But as a 2025 release, I cannot recommend this personally due to the gameplay issues. Party members just being floating circles also felt kinda boring, theres probably more to them by the end I hope, but yea, did not catch my interest sadly. Also, kinda random, but certain sound effects really did not sit well with me and felt irritating.

really liked it
I love this game so much its been my all time favorite game since I watched Markiplier play it over 12 years ago. I was so happy to see that it was coming to Steam (it should have been on Steam already) but not only that but getting new stuff too, and actually having merch, I was so overjoyed.
Nothing can truly replace Pepper Steak, but this is still excellent stuff. Wholeheartedly recommended.
Turn the lights off, I'm scared of the dark.
Yeah, it's pretty good. My main gripe with it is that puzzles are arbitrary, repetitive and obnoxious. You can look at that as the game showing its age, or you can consider them complementary to this game's highly abstract style of storytelling. Everything else, on the other hand, more than compensates for that. Art, music and atmosphere are on the same level as undertale&deltarune. The inspiration Toby Fox drew from this game is very obvious. The story is weird and uncanny and resembles works of modern art in how abstract it is, yet at the end it leaves you with enough information to understand what was going on that entire time. While this game isn't as refined as some modern indie titles, it stands very confidently in the lineup of their predecessors
"Now we must forget it all and dream sweet dreams." Unexpectedly dark and chillingly abstract, OFF is (somewhat secretly) a miserable tragedy story encased within a broader subtext that goes as far as touching on metaphysics, utopias and morality. It dishes these philosophical ideas out quite heavy-handedly, as these themes bleed through every aspect of its gameplay, visuals and dialogue; almost to the point that they distract from the game's very best ideas and moments.
OFF is such a phenomenal game, it is amazing to see that it's gotten a remaster. The newly introduced bosses is a nice touch, as it makes the game feel slightly longer, despite how short of a game it is. I really admire the uncanny valley vibes this game has, my only complaint is that the remaster doesn't have Pepper Steak in the game's soundtrack. Nonetheless, this game is a cult classic indie rpg.
What can I possibly say about OFF, the groundbreaking quirky RPG about going on a holy quest and beating up ghosts? To synopsize this game is to thematically interpret it. Everything about this game is charming, a little unnerving, and very weird. Play OFF. It will make you a better person.
