This time, the legend of Achilles is yours to tell.
Every battle is a test of nerve and skill. Manage stamina, time every dodge, block, and strike, and turn the tide with divine abilities. Equip a set of powerful special attacks, craft a handful of grenades from gathered ingredients, and charge into battle.
One perfect counter can slay a god. One misstep could send you back to Tartarus.
Shape Achilles to match your playstyle. Select your ideal weapon, from a one-handed sword and an axe in the other, to the might of two-handed swords. Customize your build through a constellation-shaped skill tree and gear upgrades that enhance every strike.
This is your legend - the gods just haven’t heard it yet.
Duel iconic warriors like Paris and Hector in tense one-on-one encounters, each demanding precision and nerve. Hunt monsters drawn from myth, survive ambushes, and overcome boss fights that test your reflexes and resolve.

Misleading "Online Co-op" tag - No Co-op Campaign My friend and I bought this specifically to play through the story together due to the "Online Co-op" store tag. It turns out co-op is restricted to a minor "challenge mode" with bite-sized maps that require solo progress to unlock. Tagging a game for co-op when the main campaign is strictly single-player feels deeply misleading to buyers looking for a true cooperative experience. Avoid if you are buying this primarily for co-op.
way more accurate than the cristopher nolan film. 8/10 Its like a souls game crossed with a diablo clone.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

I had this game sitting on my wishlist forever, just thinking it was some Diablo clone. Then all the hype of the Odyssey movie got me thinking of trying this out. Im so glad i did. I never liked Souls like games cause I dont have the skills to get goud. When I play any game I usually play on the second hardest difficulty. But I do love Souls like combat and I always wish I could find a game with the combat without all the sweaty elements that make the souls games insufferable to someone like me. You can laugh at this comment and think im the type who just want games on easy, which I don't. I hated Fable 2 cause it was a move forward game and press x and win. This game was a dream come true. You got a mega chad hero, with decent graphics. A serviceable story line and amazing souls like combat. But the best of all there is a difficulty setting. So I can live my best life playing it on the second hardest difficulty. Sorry I have close to 3000 games on steam and I like to play most of them in my life time. No time to get goud.
Achilles: Legends Untold

The game is ok, but nothing more. 4/10 The kind of arpg to play whilst watching videos or listening to an audio book. Get it on sale only. The good: If you enjoy the Greek setting this one has a nice all star cast, some familiar names whilst having its own story. Graphics are decent and the environment is nice. The neutral: Music, Voice acting and Level design are all okay, nothing inspiring but alright. The bad: The combat gets old quickly, the skill system and loot are uninspired to the point where neither level ups nor new gear are “fun”. There is no way to improve your poise, level 1 or level 50 you are getting kicked around by basic enemies like a ball. Same for stun locks, groups of even mediocre enemies are vastly more dangerous than any Boss, since every hit interrupts your actions. Foes are placed in weird, story defying, spots and are so mixed that any damage specialization (like fire or dark) makes no sense since even a single basic basement contains everything from bandit, a pack of wolves to mythical poison spiders. The different weapons make little difference and will hardly change your play style. Neither will the few skills. The handful of unlocks in the skill tree that are not just stats are uninspired and boring. When a shield counter and drinking health potions faster are your highlights you know something is wrong.
Good indie game! Everything in this game is not perfect and is not bad... it's simply good. The quality is high considering it's an indie project. COMBAT: It's very good overall. Soulslike combat with light attack, heavy attack, charged heavy attack*, run+light/heavy attack, side step, roll, block, parry*, light and heavy counter attacks*, skills and special skills. The run + heavy attack with sword it's sooo funny and satisfying....and powerful. I liked that enemies don't heavily track your movement like in elden ring for example. If you roll behind them while they are attacking, they miss. They don't magically turn 180 to hit you. Fore someone this could be too much forgiving but for me it is just more fair. The only 3 things I would have tweaked are: 1) Parry feels bad and unsatisfying, it seems like a micro stutter. I would have added more sound feedback and eliminated that microstutter. Moreover, after a successful parry (the window is big) you often can't end with a counter attack because there are not invincibility frames after parry and you get hit by other enemies. 2) When you're attacking or doing another action it's almost impossible to suddenly block an incoming attack. You have to finish the previous animation. This is not an heavy problem like in other indie action games because animations are fast enough...but sometimes it's still frustrating. 3) Enemies don't attack each other, even if they are of different "type" (like a cyclope and a soldier, or a soldier and a giant lobster). They always team up against you in mass without damaging each other even by mistake. Also, there is not environment interaction. There is just a taste of interaction between enemies (the cyclope that grab an enemy and throw it at you). It's nice but is rare. I think the developer should work more on this in next projects, because it can make fighting against multiple enemies more fun. I strongly suggest to uncheck the auto-lock system. The combat feels more fluid and responsive doing so. P.s. Ah wolves are a pain in the a$$, they simply override every action you are doing and throw you to the ground. *see SKILL TREE STORY I dont't particularly care about story in a mainly action game because it's is just an excuse to fight everything that comes up to you. In this case it is just this, but it's overall understandable and not uselessly criptic like in soulsgames. There is not history accuracy (the inspiration for the story comes from an epic poem in the first place), just references to Iliad and other greek stories. A lot of references mixed up and thrown at you to fight them. EXPLORATION The world is split in some maps, freely explorable except for some small restricted areas that need progression in the story to unlock. The first maps are more tunnel-like, while the last one is more open. I personally prefer the first ones because I don't like to brush back and forth all the map to find all enemies and items. You can find items by destroying barrels (I discovered it mid-game), opening chests and defeating enemies. I would have liked the possibility to place an indicator on the map, but it is not necessary. ITEMS You can use armor (one with different skins), shield, one handed sword (the fastest), one handed axe (a bit more slow but more powerful), spears (a bit more slow than 1h sword but more range), dual wielding swords (no shield but combined effects) and two handed sword (slowest but greatest damage). All of this can be upgraded. There are a lot of weapons to be found, some cause additional damage like poison, bleed, burn, shadow and divine. The game doesn't explain which effect to be use with which enemy, but it's pretty straightforward. I personally used one handed sword with only physical damage almost always, it's not necessary to use different weapons for different enemies. I liked this a lot as I'm interested in the action part more than the rpg/build part in action rpgs, but for someone this could be a downside. You can also equip amulets to get some buff or buff+debuff. Armor skins and special skills (the ones that use the rage bar) are unlocked defeating bosses. DIFFICULTY LEVEL AND BALANCE 4 levels of difficulty: "story" (very easy), "adventure" (easy), "challenge" (normal) and "Achilles must die" (hard). The choice is by default on "adventure", but judging by the info on the tooltip on the right, "challenge" should be normal, while "adventure" should be easy. I played it with "challenge" difficulty and I found it medium-easy (I played other soulslike but I'm not an hardcore souls gamer). I strongly suggest not to upgrade weapons to their max level because then you will start one-shotting every one. Even end-game main bosses goes down with 3-4 hits. I did this in the end-game and I found it a bit ridiculous. This is one of the things I hate about action rpgs. Progression, stats, upgrades, are just numbers that ruins the action part of the game. But this is not the place to complain about a whole game genre... On the other hand I suggest upgrading first the armor. There is not a stat that will make you take less damage (you can just increase the vitality), so upgrading armor can be useful. Moreover, you will keep the upgrades with every skins of the armor, unlike with different weapons. SKILL TREE By defeating enemies you get skill points to unlock skills and to increase the main stats in the skill tree. Main stats are: stength, stamina, vitality, rage (to increase special skills bar and do more damage with rage-related weapons), precision (to do more damage with special skills and with precision-related weapons), fortune (to increase loot). It's important to note that basic skills like parry, counter-attack and charged heavy attack need to be unlocked in the skill tree. I don't think you can completely unlock all parts (stars) of the skill tree in a single run, but you can easily unlock all skills. Important: you don't need to unlock all 3 sections of one star to proceed to the next star...you just need to unlock one section. LENGTH I played slowly, exploring every corner of the maps and almost 100%ing it. It took around 26 hours. I think the game should have lasted around 15. The are very few enemies and at around 1/2 or 2/3 of the game they simply increase in number, it increases their damage and you will find non-sense combination of more type of enemies. But hey, even Fromsoftware games do this. GRAPHIC, SOUND AND ART Graphics and sound are very good and the game is well optimized. Important: at the beginning (tutorial + first minutes in first map) it stutters a lot because of shader compilation, but after that it's good. Artistically is good, nothing exceptional but also nothing ugly. The game comes with two nice free downloadable models for 3d print. Overall I enjoyed the game and I recommend it 100%. Congrats to the developer!
Bought the game a while ago to scratch that "greek mythos" itch, been checking in on it with the updates. I don't think this game needs a deep dive review. This is very much an indy game with indy jank, but also personally think at its core this is a very fun passion project and worth playing/supporting. Basically if the game play videos and screenshots look fun to you, most likely you will enjoy it - and Indy devs like this are ABSOLUTELY worth supporting and there for so is this game/project. Bought it full price a while ago and don't regret it one bit - on sale this is absolutely a buy IMO.
Achilles: Legends Untold to solidne action RPG osadzone w świecie mitologii greckiej, łączące izometryczną perspektywę z walką inspirowaną soulslike'ami. Do dyspozycji mamy różne rodzaje broni, tarcze i umiejętności, a rozwój postaci pozwala stopniowo dopasować styl walki do własnych preferencji. Starcia z większymi przeciwnikami i bossami potrafią dawać sporo satysfakcji. Polecam.
Original review "The current build of the game seems to be broken. With little insight into why, and without much support or way in which to resolve these technical issues. With a few others also experiencing the same issue of the game not loading or initialising, there doesn't seem to be a resolution in sight." The devs reached out personally and took me through some steps to resolve the issue. Allowing exceptions through anti-virus, firewall, go through basic diagnostics like verifying and driver updates. But also exceptions to game folders. Launches perfectly. As for the game, I am playing and will update. But kudos to the devs and their response.
Tremendo juego!
