Got the game on sale, definitely worth it on sale. The game is dated and the physics aren't polished and may be lacking comparatively. However, just like most VR games, you have to overlook some negative trade offs for what can be a very fun experience. The player base is very small, but there are people that you can find to play with. 5/10 game score from me, but for bringing us a multiplayer disc golf in VR; 8/10.
for anyone who had read my last review it no longer is valid. The devs listened to all the comments ,suggestions etc and have made the game amazing!!!!! they re did the graphics, physics, menus pretty much everything ! i play tons of discgolf in real life and in the winter this is the amazing to keep my muscle memory strong on those cold weeks!! highly suggest buying. also the multiplayer is great to be able to play with friends i play with in real life. buy the game and then hop over to the discord they have for it!! tons of people to play with and even free tournaments on weekends!!!

I want to love this game, but the fact is, it's terrible.
I have given it a fair shot, and maybe will even continue trying to play a bit in the future, but for now it just doesn't really feel like a great vr disk golf game. If you are a left handed player, just forget it. The flight physics are totally against the left handed throw, and nearly all the holes dogleg to the left, and/or have big trees to the left. As a lefty disc golfer, i have gotten used to arcing the disc high on the throw to get it to go far to the left, but with this game, inevitably the disc corrects, levels out and grounds to the right, as it would for a right handed throw.... they need to work on their physics. The scenes are ok, but could be better, with a little wind blowing some leaves around, or a wildlife here are there. The hole setup, besides the above mentioned right handed-ness, is unimaginative, and lack the vistas that would make a truely great experience, and make me "feel" the course. There are some spectacle holes that feel good to look down the hill from.
I think it's alright. Physics are probably not realisitc. A driving range or practice area would have been nice - waiting for your terrible shot to hit a tree in the middle of nowhere is a bit dull. The multiplayer is completely dead though so bring a friend.
Horrible physics, but could be looked past if your bag didn't spawn so far away from you and when you walk up next to it, it disappears. It's been abandoned by the devs and the game has so many bugs. RecRoom still has best disc golf for vr unfortunately.
First of all, let me say that I haven't ever played disc golf in real life. So I cannot tell you if physics is matching exactly the real world experience or if it feel "like the real thing". What I can say, however, that it is a nice and fun game that I am enjoying a lot. There is a helpful short tutorial for disc golf dummies like me and then you go and try your best on the first course. More courses become available once you finish the first one. Graphics is certainly not exceptional but nice enough that you feel like being outside on a disc golf track. I am a graphics enthusiast and only kind of happy with the best of the best. So I'd love to have more detailed and more realistic graphics but at the same time it is certainly good enough that it serves the purpose and you feel fine on the track. After a steep learning curve I slowly start to understand a bit what matters when throwing that disc and what influences the distance and flight behavior. Physics behavior seems to be consistent to me, i.e. when the shot is bad then I feel also that it was my fault and when I did the basics right, then the disc seems to consistently do what I would expect it to do from what I learned so far. So I have the motivation to play more, get better and to enjoy the tracks. I have a lot of fun with this game so far and can absolutely recommend it. It offers an enjoyable performance at a reasonable price and when you like VR sports games like golf, tennis, table tennis, etc. then you're probably also going to enjoy this one.
I so desperately wanted to love this game and use it as an outlet to play disc golf during the colder weather but the mechanics of the game combined with the lack of a useful tutorial make it difficult. I'm still going to continue playing and trying to figure out if there's some way to make the throwing consistent but its really discouraging. There have been rounds where I throw three shots in the same motion and speed and end up with wildly different results. Most of the time my "good" shots are ones that I expect to go no where or that I underhand throw. Hopefully in the future the game is improved but for now I would suggest passing.
It's fun but throwing is bit hard. :)
Super good disc golf game. Plays like the real thing (especially with friends) minus the drive and poison ivy. Highly recommend it!
