Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Occupy Mars is a technical, open-world sandbox, survival game about Mars colonization inspired by the most promising technologies and companies that are working towards the goal of humanity becoming a multi-planet species.
Explore different regions of Mars while searching for valuable resources, discover mining sites, and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively leveled area with good access to underground water in a place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.

Build and upgrade your base, craft equipment, mine resources, produce water, oxygen and food, explore an open world, and repair complex machinery in a technical survival sandbox.

Manage your energy production and build your electricity grid. Make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power, and food to survive.

Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn the basics soldering, using hot air, measurement tools, and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.

Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organize your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs, and more...

Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, and remember about proper cable management. Grow your own food.

Experience an open-world sandbox game with a realistic day/night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them, and find the optimal way to power your colony.

Occupying Mars is not always easy. Sometimes things will explode, break or not go exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.” Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food, or energy.

...but most importantly HAVE FUN on Mars!

GRAB THIS GAME!!!!! It has sooo much going for it. Coop, single player, campaign, sandbox. Yes there are some bugs with the 1.0 release. The devs are working like crazy to fix them. They are truly putting their hearts and souls into this. They are engaged with the community and taking the suggestions and feedback to heart. I have about 300 hours in game, from near the first EA release. It has come a long way, and it's in a great space right now. The goal is to return to Earth, but I'm not sure if I want to. Having too much fun on Mars right now!!!

I will not recommend this game. It looks horrible, npcs looks horrible, sound is horrible. The tutorial is confusing as ♥♥♥♥. It runs horrible. Its ugly. Does not give a feeling that you are on mars. Game still needs about 3 years in the oven.
Initial bootup of the game is so slow that it read as "not responding" multiple times. Leaves a lot to be desired. Playable but its a lot of head scratching and wondering what to do, what to spend technology points on, how they are accumulated. The game is essentially suck it and see. Tutorial is a waste of time - it teaches nothing of any use in the game. Its very unfinished - almost like a collection of ideas that is just about to enter Beta testing. For example just found that drilling rocks doesn't just produce a smaller rock, if you drill the small bit again you can get minerals you use. I've spent ages looking for mini rocks as I thought I'd need some sort of processor. Its that bad.
Game is horribly buggy and slow. It is basically still in an EA state. Main parts of the game not or just barely working due to bugs. And you still run into things where you have the feeling it is still WIP. On top (on my system) it struggles to get 60FPS (with drops as low as 10FPS and sometimes freezes for over a second), while the CPU is at 10%, GPU at 20%, RAM at 50%, and VRAM at 40%. There is no excuse.
The game does not support 3-person view, sure it has it, but broken, you can't see any of your stats, you must constantly go into 1st person view just to see your stats.

I've played for the last 3 major updates. I couldn't get very far in the campaign because I was confused and didn't feel like doing more, but I have enjoyed the quality of my own game. It took me a while to fully understand what I was doing, but I really enjoy how the game works. I wish there was an even earlier game version of the crusher so I could get more for my ores without it being overpowered, but still not taking hours to mine what I need. I don't know if it has been improved in 1.0, but I have had a very difficult time understanding miners, and I can't wait to see the game expand and improve past their major full release expansion.
still ridiculously BUGGY and they want you to pay for bug fixes---must have worked for microsoft previously
