"Not For Broadcast: Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Not For Broadcast". Not For Broadcast is a poorly made thematic ripoff of Papers, Please, only with FMV and worse content (if such a thing is possible), from the wholly and utterly unethical tinyBuild. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Not For Broadcast, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Not For Broadcast: Prologue" too. The purpose of this advert is to get you to pay an eye watering TWENTY FIVE UNITED STATES DOLLARS for the full product, and I don't recommend you do. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.

I didn't really undertstood the concept of the game, looking at the Steam page. But this demo is perfect to show how this game works. Will now play the full version as soon as possible, but if it's as entertaining as the demo, I already love it.
I really loved the demo! Whenever i have enough money i'll be sure to buy the full game, it seems hilarious 😂👍
Good demo! Bought the full game because of it. Prettyyy cooool
Krótka piłka: Pomysł był dobry, ale wykonanie raczej mierne. Zwłaszcza Sterowanie mogło być lepsze. Nagrania aktorskie również nie zachęcają do oglądania. Gra raczej odstrasza niż zachęca do pracy w TV. ;) + Steam Kurator Fidelio de Krytyk: ➥ https://store.steampowered.com/curator/10437106/
Amazing, high quality game. Will buy the full game
cool game
Not For Broadcast: Prologue is a delightful descent into the chaotic world of live television broadcasting. Set in an alternate 1980s where a radical government has seized power, you find yourself in the editor’s chair of the National Nightly News, deciding what the public sees and hears. With a control panel full of buttons, sliders, and screens, your job is to switch camera feeds, censor inappropriate content, and manage advertisements — all in real-time. The game masterfully blends satire and dark comedy, presenting absurd scenarios that mirror real-world media manipulation. One moment, you’re cutting to a politician’s heartfelt speech; the next, you’re scrambling to bleep out unexpected profanity from a children’s choir. The pressure is palpable, the humor is sharp, and the stakes feel surprisingly high for a game where your primary adversary is the bleep button. While the prologue is a free, limited version of the full game, it offers a substantial experience that showcases the game’s unique mechanics and tone. It’s a perfect appetizer that leaves you hungry for the full course. Final score: 9 out of 10. Not For Broadcast: Prologue is a brilliantly executed simulation that combines frantic gameplay with biting satire. It’s the perfect game for those who enjoy multitasking under pressure, questioning media narratives, and laughing at the absurdity of it all.
