An interesting concept built around surveillance and resource management, creating constant pressure through multiple overlapping systems. While the idea is strong, that pressure quickly turns into frustration, as small mistakes snowball and recovery feels limited. Instead of encouraging learning and discovery, it often relies on trial-and-error and repetition. It may appeal to players who enjoy high tension and strict management, but for me it became more exhausting than engaging.
If I could say I’ve ever truly met a developer whose game stuck with me, it would be this one. If the dev somehow ends up reading this: I shook your hand at your booth at Day of the Devs on Saturday, November 5, 2017, and that moment was a big deal for me. You were insanely chill, and meeting any game dev back then felt huge. Now, onto the game itself this thing is amazing. Balancing your day job while spying on people is way harder than it looks, but when everything clicks, it’s incredibly rewarding. My tip for new players: on your first run, just grind work nonstop and barely spy at all. Get a feel for the rhythm, then reset and go in with intention. Some of the events absolutely broke my heart. You know you could’ve prevented certain situations, and that gives the game some serious replay value. Saving people, helping them, or watching things spiral because you didn’t act it all hits harder than expected. And yes… if you do feed the monkey, the game rewards you for it—if you’re smart about it. Just don’t get caught.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Do Not Feed the Monkeys is the kind of game that makes you feel like a horrible person for enjoying it and then keeps piling on until you crack, which is either brilliant design or a personal attack depending on your relationship with stress and I found out the hard way which camp I fall into. Fictiorama Studios built something genuinely original here. You're a voyeur peeping on strangers through surveillance cameras, piecing together their lives, deciding whether to intervene or just watch, and the whole thing has a dark absurdist humor that makes the premise feel more like a twisted comic strip than anything sinister. The scenarios you stumble across are genuinely bizarre and funny in ways that make you want to keep clicking through just to see what comes next. The pressure mechanic is where it loses people who aren't wired for it, myself included. The game never lets up. Rent is due, your health is declining, new cages keep unlocking, every clock is ticking simultaneously and the mounting anxiety of managing all of it eventually stops feeling like tension and starts feeling like actual stress you didn't sign up for. For a game built around voyeuristic curiosity the constant time pressure actively works against the experience of just exploring the weird situations it generates. The concept deserves credit for being genuinely unlike anything else in the genre and the writing has a wit to it that a bigger studio would have smoothed out entirely. Mouse and keyboard is non negotiable here, the interface is built around precise clicking through multiple windows simultaneously and anything less is going to add frustration on top of an already demanding experience. Don't typically pull out the mac to game but this one was a good candidate for it, however Steam Deck would be a rough time.
