[b]TL;DR:[/b] I can’t recommend this game at its current price for what you get, Maybe in the future when more stuff is added. If I had purchased this myself, I would have refunded it within the first hour. [b]Review:[/b] I received this game for free from the developer and because of that I want to be completely honest. Other reviews are right, this game does have potential. However, in its current state it is severely lacking and because of that I can’t in my right mind recommend it to anyone right now. I played for 5+ hours and unfortunately, what’s here is extremely basic. There is no real sense of progression, no meaningful consequences for your actions and no lasting interactions. At the end of each client session, you tell them “see you next week” but you never actually see that client again. You meet them once and that’s it. Because of this, there’s no payoff for trying to be a good therapist, no evolving relationships and no feeling that your choices actually matter long term. While insulting clients and making them angry can be amusing at first, that novelty wears off very quickly. Another thing worth mentioning is the use of AI. The game already uses AI in some areas, which I don’t mind at all it’s just surprising that AI voice acting hasn’t been implemented. Given the game’s built-in focus on streaming, including letting chat vote on dialogue choices, having to constantly read out client dialogue and every response option quickly becomes repetitive and dull during longer sessions. Even basic AI voice work for clients would go a long way toward improving immersion, pacing, and overall watchability for streamers. I understand this is an Early Access title that only released on December 10th. That said, I personally feel the game was released too early, before enough of its core mechanics and roadmap features were implemented. Once some of those systems are added, I could absolutely see myself recommending this game but right now, it simply isn’t there. I’ll happily revisit and update this review if and when those systems are added. Until then, I can’t recommend this game in its current state.

I bought it for my psychologist gf and after some time playing the game, she asked if we could change the theoretical framework of the psychologist in the game lol. This is because the framework is too cognitive behavioral for our liking. The idea is cool, but after some time (after completing the first week for example), it turns repetitive and boring. It would have been better if the patients that you treated and scheduled during the week came back to see their improvement in some way. But overall, I know it is early access and the game has potential. We are looking forward to see more improvements in the future.

I really like the game but am at a point where repetition has made it boring to play. The clients conversations don't seem to match the diagnosis either, will change review if this changes

Therapy Simulator tiene recorrido. Mucho. La idea es sólida, el enfoque es distinto y la base mecánica funciona. Ahora depende de cómo evolucione: más sistemas, más profundidad narrativa, más consecuencias a largo plazo. Cuando llegue su versión definitiva, va a ser interesante volver al consultorio y ver hasta dónde llegó. Porque si algo deja claro este juego es que no todas las respuestas son correctas… pero algunas experiencias valen la pena igual. It was pretty fun to make a video out of for YouTube, but it does get repetitive. Trolling the clients is obviously the more enjoyable part. Hope this gets some more updates.

Es ist leider relativ langweilig, es ist sehr einfach zu erkennen, was die schlechte Antwort ist und es fühlt sich alles sehr eintönig an. Aktuell leider keine Empfehlung von mir!
