But as rebellion, religion, and corruption collide on the isle of Sacra, every forest and dungeon you uncover may hold new surprises and challenges. Each location is hand-crafted and filled with hidden secrets and treasure that lurk in the most unlikely of places.

Take respite in the vast central hub of Sacrament where you can purchase property, buy furniture, and decorate it to make it your own. Fish on the shores of the river, till and harvest the land for ingredients to create meals that replenish health and boost stats. Acquaint yourself with the diverse array of vendors and townsfolk and restore Sacrament to its former glory.

Every inch of Isola Sacra, every creature you encounter, and every animation in No Rest for the Wicked is designed by hand, with incredible attention to detail. Feel the shifting weather and lighting as day turns into dusk, listen to the sound of the wind in the leaves, and take a minute to stop and enjoy a stunning vista - before you reach your next-heart stopping combat challenge.

No Rest for the Wicked has no microtransactions, no shortcuts, no pay-to-win - just pure gameplay.

В ЭТОЙ ИГРЕ ХУЕВО ВСЕ ПРОСТО ВСЕ
Some of the worst keyboard controls i have ever seen. omfg
When this game releases it will be a souls-like on par with games like Lies of Pi and Nioh and may even rival the masterpieces from Formsoftware itself. The highlight is the story, art direction and atmosphere. The cutscenes feel so personal and the characters have motivations and personalities that are expressed in these engaging seemingly hand drawn moments. The dialogue is what really stands out. Much like Dark souls, atmosphere is center stage in regards to story telling but where the game innovates on this idea is dialogue in cutscenes is written in a way where the game does not assume you are dumb. There are not any moments where the game jumps into "explain the plot because we thought you were looking at your phone" that is becoming all too common. Characters have mystery and are interesting and you will find yourself listening to what they say and their dialogue is quick and poignant without being overly campy or cringe. You will end up wanting to know more about the world and the "mysteries" that are set up will make you formulate your own inferences because the game when it comes to story wants you to feel like the character you are playing has lived in the world their entire life, but also maintains the sense of realism that you do not know everything and neither do any of the npcs. This is coupled with amazing voice acting (shout out to the madrigal) and sound design not only in the cutscenes but in boss fights and just normal progression as well. The combat feels fun and remains decently challenging even with friends. A lot of souls-likes struggle to keep things hard with more people but having friendly fire turned on not only is funny in the sense you will kill your friends but also keeps the game hard enough so that you need to pay attention. The standout in combat is the satisfying weight you have to your attacks. When you use a greatsword it HITS and the explosion of meat from the slam of a two hander is fun every time. Overall you will just be left feeling like you want more of everything. More story, more time in the world, more enemies and bosses, more abilities and ability points, more base building and town building. Not to say this is a bad thing its quite the contrary. This is not a game were asking for more is due to not having all the elements a good video game should have. Its a game were you will ask for more because what you are given is so enticing you just want to continue gorging yourself on the world that was created as much as possible.
