Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Sea of Thieves taught me two very important life lessons: never trust other pirates… and trust your friends even less. It all started with “hey, let’s have a chill sailing session.” Five minutes later our ship was on fire, one friend was playing the accordion instead of helping, another was trying to sell treasure we didn’t even have yet, and I got eaten by a shark for the third time. This game is absolutely amazing if you enjoy chaos, betrayal, and moments where someone yells “I GOT THE LOOT!” just to fall into the ocean immediately after. Every session is a new story — sometimes an epic adventure, sometimes two hours of grinding treasure just to get sunk by another crew in 15 seconds. The graphics are beautiful, the sea looks so good you almost want to drown in it (and you will, a lot). The mechanics are simple but super fun, especially when you’re trying to manage the ship while someone is actively shooting you with a cannon. Do I recommend it? Yes. Will you suffer? Also yes. 10/10 would get robbed by other pirates again.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Love this game rely fun but also rely inraging and I can not spell
I was fun in the past. Came back after a few years to realize that people are now so PVP-focused that you can basically not go for 15 minutes without any toxic encounter running PVE players over. The "Single Player" mode does not help at all, as you cannot make any progress. You can create modes without PVP where players can compete with one another in other forms. There are enough people that like such games.
Honestly I love this game but these devs and their "security team" can sit on a pinecone and spin. Short version, my old account was banned like 2 years ago. Other day I launch it on Xbox and can play like normal. I contact support (mistake) being like hey, is this ban over? I can play again just not on my Xbox pc app. Go back and forth for a few days and now that account is banned on everything including the forums! Lesson of this is don't contact their dog water support. Fast forward to today, I go to play on the other account I've had since that one has been banned. It's banned. Contact support again, I'm told it shares a license with a banned account and the only way around it is to buy another copy license of the game, link my Xbox account and that will lift the ban. Absolutely insane since that "license" they said I shared was bought on Xbox and used with Xbox play anywhere. Meanwhile the license my alt has used is this one on Steam and only this one, no family sharing or anything. Absolutely insane, meanwhile the player counts go down every month, actual cheating is as prominent as ever. I truly love this game but stay far away unless it's on a deep sale.
This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead. The devs are completely out of touch with their playerbase, and the updates have been absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. They keep making decisions that nobody asked for while ignoring the actual problems with the game. It’s genuinely frustrating watching the game get worse update after update.
I used to love this game. Spent a lot of money on it. Bought numerous copies of the game for friends also. It used to be a lot of fun. Especially with friends. But I haven't played since the Bruno situation came to light. Unfortunately Rare has not handled the situation correctly. The ppl who should of been fired in this situation have not been. As such, I can no longer play or recommend this game. Because as of currently, children are not safe on this platform. Ppl on their team protected a groomer. Now, rare is protecting and keeping employed those who allowed the groomer to continue grooming... Which just leaves it open for that type of behavior to continue. So ♥♥♥♥ THIS GAME!!! It's never getting another cent from me, or second of my time... NOT Recommended!!! ESPECIALLY NOT for Children!!!
lt was just wonderful-liked it,even though l'm a beginner.But it really hogs a lot of memory,but it's okay)
Worst character "creator" ever.
