Growing up a huge Nickelodeon fan I was interested in this when it was announced. Playing Diablo had me thinking this was literally that but mixed with Nick Toons. Overall the game is fun. The characters have cool abilities, cool animations, and decent voice acting. Only issue I have is the feeling of repetition. You do a quest for someone and once it's done it just throws you to the next person for a quest. Not really a story that links it all together. But for someone like me who works overnight shift I need something that I can pick up and put down on the go. Would recommend it for anyone who likes RPGs and Nickelodeon. The nostalgia is great as well. Makes me feel like a kid again.

Combate fluido e variado
O sistema permite atacar, conjurar feitiços, fazer combos, usar habilidades especiais.

Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a crossover-driven action RPG that leans heavily on nostalgia while attempting to frame familiar Nickelodeon characters within a light fantasy adventure. Developed by Petit Fabrik and Fair Play Labs, the game builds its identity around the idea of a shared multiverse where iconic characters are pulled into a tabletop-inspired world governed by magical dice and RPG conventions. It’s an inherently playful premise, and the game embraces that tone fully, prioritizing charm, accessibility, and fan service over mechanical complexity or narrative depth. The story is straightforward but effective for what it aims to do. Characters from different Nickelodeon series find themselves transported into a fantasy realm, where they must cooperate, gather magical artifacts, and ultimately find their way back home. The narrative does not attempt to be particularly deep or emotionally driven; instead, it focuses on humor, character interactions, and the novelty of seeing these personalities collide. Much of the enjoyment comes from how well the game captures the essence of its cast, allowing them to retain their distinct voices and quirks even within an unfamiliar setting. The dialogue often feels episodic, like a series of short crossover moments stitched together, which suits the tone even if it limits narrative cohesion. Gameplay follows a simplified isometric action RPG structure that is easy to grasp but limited in depth. Each character functions as a distinct class, with their own abilities and playstyle, and players move through a series of dungeon-like levels filled with enemies, collectibles, and basic objectives. Combat is real-time and designed to be accessible, relying on a small set of abilities that can be combined in straightforward ways. While this makes the game approachable for a wide audience, particularly younger players, it also means that the system does not evolve significantly over time. Once players become familiar with their chosen characters, encounters can begin to feel repetitive, as enemy patterns and combat scenarios offer limited variation. Level design supports the gameplay loop without significantly expanding it. Environments are colorful and themed around different elements of the Nickelodeon universe, providing visual variety even when the structure of each level remains consistent. Exploration involves clearing enemies, solving light puzzles, and collecting items, all of which contribute to progression. The inclusion of cooperative play adds an important dimension, as the game is clearly designed with shared experiences in mind. Playing with others can make the simplicity of the mechanics feel more engaging, turning what might otherwise be repetitive encounters into opportunities for teamwork and coordination. Presentation is where the game consistently excels. The visual style successfully merges different franchises into a cohesive aesthetic, preserving the recognizable traits of each character while adapting them to the fantasy setting. Animations are lively, and abilities are visually distinct, helping each character feel unique in action. Voice acting plays a significant role in reinforcing authenticity, with performances that capture the personalities fans expect. Combined with a bright color palette and energetic sound design, the game creates an atmosphere that feels celebratory, as though it is more interested in honoring its source material than redefining it. However, the game’s focus on accessibility and charm comes at the cost of longevity. The overall campaign is relatively short, and once completed, there is little in the way of meaningful endgame content or progression systems to encourage continued play. While there are additional challenges and collectibles, they do not significantly alter the core experience, which remains largely unchanged from beginning to end. This lack of depth becomes more noticeable as the novelty of the crossover begins to wear off, especially for players who are accustomed to more complex RPG systems. Pacing reflects this balance between accessibility and repetition. The early stages introduce mechanics and characters at a steady, engaging rate, creating a strong initial impression. As the game progresses, however, the absence of new gameplay layers becomes apparent, and the experience can begin to feel predictable. The structure rarely deviates from its established formula, which can make later sections feel less dynamic despite the continued introduction of new environments. In the end, Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a game that succeeds primarily through its personality and presentation. It captures the spirit of its characters and delivers a light, approachable adventure that is easy to pick up and enjoy, particularly in cooperative play. At the same time, its limited mechanical depth and short runtime prevent it from leaving a lasting impact beyond its initial appeal. It feels like a celebration of Nickelodeon’s legacy rather than a fully realized evolution of the action RPG genre, offering a fun but ultimately modest experience. Rating: 7/10
The game is overall fun! As a fan of the Nicktoons Unite games, this was a nice addition :) The character interactions were awesome, and it’s so good to see Timmy Turner back in a Nicktoons game. Hoping for DLC in the future!
Essentially a Diablo for the whole family. Brainless but fun, with nice references to pop culture and nostalgic moments with iconic Nicktoons characters. Easy even on the hardest difficulty.
Updated review: I was able to fix the previous problem with the potions and equipment disappearing by going to a previous cloud save. So now I feel like I can go ahead and properly review this game. Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny is basically a family friendly Diablo-like with Spongebob. Despite how the sponge is at the front and center of everything, Timmy Turner is arguably the main character as the story revolves around him. The story was pretty much what you'd expect - the iconic nicktoons characters, plus the TMNT since they're now owned by Nick, find themselves taken from their own worlds and have to get the dice of destiny to set things back to normal. Pretty basic stuff, but the main charm players will find is the interactions between the toons themselves which are thankfully voiced by their original voice actors. The levels themselves are based on the worlds of these various shows, with enemies such as Spongebob-esque fish knights or ghosts from the Danny Phantom universe showing up across these levels. The game itself is not overly hard, with 3 levels of difficulties to choose from in each stage. However there are some specific missions that are needlessly frustrating. A good example of this would be Zuko's teacup mission: despite the game saying you can only be hit a certain amount of times before the cup breaks and you have to try again, it actually counts every tiny bit of damage you take from a status effect as it's own "hit", meaning the number will be way lower than what you're actually given considering most enemies in the stage inflict burn. As long as you do the side quests, the game shouldn't be too punishing. In fact, while the level cap is at 40, I often found myself overleveled at certain points in the game. Each toon has a different roster of abilities including offensive and defensive moves, and a powerful ultra move. You are sure to find a player character that you can really enjoy controlling even before the full roster is unlocked. Now the last thing I want to say is while this game is significantly higher quality than a lot of other GameMill games, it still has some bugs here and there. The player character can sometimes get stuck on 3D objects and the game doesn't really have anything to get you unstuck unless you reset. I also ran into a particularly nasty bug where potions stopped working and gear disappeared after losing to the final boss, but thankfully I was able to go back in time to a previous cloud save to undo this problem. All in all though, Nicktoons and the Dice of Destiny is a decent game. Thankfully it often goes on sale, so if you are curious there's not a huge barrier to entry for this game.
It's great to have all the OG nicktoons back in a single game after all these years. Timmy is OP and they nerfed Danny too much, but it's still fun either way. It's surprisingly good for a game mil game, but what's more important is that I am having a lot of fun playing
