Reviews
This game is twice as great as it is buggy, and it is very buggy. There are a myriad of merited concerns about the stability of the game's code base. But for all these little visual glitches, translation mistakes, and UI errors it also offers metric tons of style, flair, action, fun, exploration, build depth, and variety of playstyles. As a small personal anecdote, I'm not a big fan of the "It's the journey, not the destination" sentiment. I tend to shelve even my most beloved games after I complete everything I wanted in them. This game, meanwhile, I bought in EA, exhausted the available at the time content in 40 hours, and the remaining 260 hours you see at the time of this review being written is just me playing it over and over again for the hell of it. A game being littered with bugs isn't something to be just hand-waved, but damn me to the abyss if the sheer quality of the content doesn't make up for it. Love this thing. Love it to death.
Perfect Couch Co-op for Families and Friends! We’ve been playing Lost Castle 2 as a family of three (myself and my two daughters, ages 10 and 13) via local co-op on the TV with three gamepads. It has quickly become one of our go-to games to chill on the couch and just have a blast together. Even when a run gets tough, we are genuinely happy just playing through it. The game does a fantastic job of catering to different engagement levels. The action-packed gameplay is straightforward enough for my 10-year-old to instantly enjoy herself. Meanwhile, the build variety, weapon choices, and progression provide enough depth to keep myself and my 13-year-old thoroughly invested. I've noticed some negative reviews complaining about end-of-game damage stats not showing up properly, but we've never had an issue with this. Honestly, focusing strictly on high damage numbers completely misses the point of team play anyway. For example, going for a lower-damage build that inflicts ice status to freeze and impair enemies can be incredibly valuable for the team's survival. Raw DPS isn't everything when you're working together! Other reviews complain about enemies being too tanky; while they definitely get harder to kill when you turn up the difficulty to Nightmare mode, that challenge is exactly what you expect from a harder mode. Is it perfect? No. It can occasionally be tough to decipher how certain item synergies interact, and the game would massively benefit from clearer tooltips explaining exactly how specific loot rewards influence your character's stats. We also occasionally suffer a minor bug where a gamepad disconnects and requires a quick power-cycle to register again. Great local co-op games to play on a single TV are incredibly difficult to find these days, but Lost Castle 2 absolutely delivers a ton of fun in this configuration. If you want a charming, engaging, and genuinely collaborative game to play with friends or family, I highly recommend it!Perfect Couch Co-op for Families (Flawed but Incredibly Fun!) @15.7h a respectable 7/10 game ignore idiots who can't figure out how to change region for multiplayer maybe I'll come back to fix the review after I beat this game @24.7h cleared true NM3, revising to 8/10 game has pretty reasonable pacing and the combat has grown on me more @30.3h final boss is lit.
THIS GAME IS GOOAAATTTEEEEDDD! Interesting weapons and relics/enhancements. Fun little chibi designs. Interesting boss fights with solid mechanics. I do agree with other reviews that the game is a bit too easy until Nightmare 2. Id say thats when things started to open up for me and I started to really feel the game out some more. And they just added Nightmare 4 and 5! Whaaaaa! So hyped. Cons: The screen clutter in multiplayer... is pretty bad... It's a bit difficult to manage sometimes as I totally lose track of my character... even with multiplayer effects/animations turned off. Another thing, I seem to run into the same relics a lot, and the red rune path (crit focused) seems to be the weakest/have the worst buffs... but maybe I'm just not building into it right. Either way... loving the game so far. No spoilers, but one weapon literally let me become Thor... I just floated around the battle filed throwing lightning around everywhere... AMAAAAAAAZING. Like what?!?! Go buy the game and play it solo or w some buddies.
this is one of those rare moments in steam where you need to ignore the mixed reviews... this game is good. It looks like some cheap/cute whatever mass produced asian game where u just button mash your way to victory like Golden Axe but once you get to the end of the game a few times, it really opens up with each of the 10 weapons having 3 skill trees... THEN options within those 3 skill trees... THEN to top it off you have custom farmable runes that make your custom builds just go crazy. There are some bugs (which are constantly getting sorted out), but it's not enough to ruin your fun or break the game in any major way. Multiplayer is also fun and chaotic
Lost Castle 2 is a 2D Beat Em Up Roguelite and a sequel to the first game Lost Castle, the story revolves around a girl you will meet during your journey and you will help her retrieve her lost memories, little you know what awaits in the darkness!! The game had a big overhaul and improvements especially since the v1.0 full release and compared the first game, this one got me hooked right on. A big arsenal of weapons to choose from to match your own playstyle, from 2H to 1H to bows and staves as well as new weapon types that didn't exist in the first game, I had to try them all and I really loved the weapon designs and mechanisms. In the 2nd game, you progress with a system called the rune system which each has it's own stats to give you the needed buffs during your runs, you can choose Power, Defensive or Magic out of all 3, or even balance them out to match your playstyle, each relic you find during your run will have one of those stats, different gear to test out from cloth armors to heavy armors. The controls were pretty flawless and I didn't have any issues in any run I had, the devs are working nonstop even after the full v1.0 release to polish the game even more and fix those minor bugs. Hats off to them for the continuous support!! You will meet different NPCs that you will need to save at the beginning of your few runs who will provide you with items / relics / gear that you can choose from once you set out on a run as well as a skill tree for various upgrades to strengthen your character for those future difficult runs. Great OST and amazing music, really enjoyed each zone music, well composed and you can see the love that was put into making each one!! The boss fights once again really surprised me, they got even better and in the first game they were already that good. Unique designs with each their own set of attacks. You will need quick dodge timings and reflexes to avoid incoming barrages of attacks or homing attacks, beams....you name it. Adrenaline rush boss fights that will definitely keep you on your toes especially as you progress further into the story and zones. This is a definitely recommended 2D Beat Em Up Roguelite and you definitely wanna check out their first back from 2016. It's great for the fans of the genre and a must play. Overall Rating 10/10
BUG极其多更新极其慢 反作弊极其差 最难绷的是不能更新后不能联机到现在还没修复 一个多人游戏,联机都几天了修不好,让卸载steam重装解决,有点意思
I cannot recommend this game if you want to play with 4 players. No matter which server we select, the 4th player gets the message that the room is full and there is not a slot available. This is a lie, there are 3 people in the room (including me). The room is on private and only my friends can join. I cannot play this game with my friends, I cannot recommend this game.
好友联机一直掉线,游戏没难度,难度全在如何正常进行联机游玩
官方到现在不修复游戏更新出现的各种问题,就是让重新装steam,很多用户重新装了仍然无法组队,无法匹配队友。建议大家现在不要购入。
