OK, Playing all 3 games back to back, the third game is terrible compared to the second game. It's shorter, toned way down, it's not a top down 1/2 the time, and the story is boring. I'd say skip this one and go replay the 2nd one for the 10th time before playing this one.
Sorry, but I can't really recommend this iteration of the series. I've enjoyed playing Cat Quest 1 and 2, but this one is a major step back. It's kinda flat and unremarkable, a and I've found myself skipping it and playing something else instead of going back to the hamster wheel of it. My kindest regards to the devs, and I hope their next project is way better!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i really loved playing the first 2 games, the combat aspect and everything i them is fun, i played for about 15 mins before i quit, buy 1 and 2 this game feels clunky and not like a cat quest game. no corralatio to the cliffhanger in 2 and it just seems not that good as combat was easy. its an ok game and if i revisit ill update my review but otherwise, im not a fan.
Not as fun as the previous 2 games. Endgame bosses are boring and can be beaten by just swinging in their face and not interacting with any mechanics at all. The final boss, in particular, died within 30 seconds without me even moving and just spamming 1 button. In multiplayer, you have to SHARE 1 ship instead of each player getting their own. And you have to fight for control, so you can't assign a gunner + driver or anything like that.
Been a fan of the Cat Quest series since the furst game! I struggle to honestly call the Cat Quest series "good", but they sure are enjoyable. This is by far better than 1 and 2. The combat has always been a little basic but I feel that this third game is a huge improvement in that area. The co-op is an added benefit from the second game that I'm glad they carried over. Story is once again pretty basic and doesn't take itself seriously enough to be worth caring about; the lore is, however, quite fun and thought out. The main thing I like about Cat Quest is that it's a fun completionist game without being too long. If you played the other games, play this one. If you played one of them and found the gameplay a little underwhelming, play this one. If you care about a rich story, look for a different game. If you're looking for a challenge, play a different game. If you wanna smile at bad cat puns between some light combat, this is great. It's a nice standalone gameplay experience you don't need to put thought into: that's what's so good about it.
I received the first two games for free on epic and after finishing CQ2, I felt kind of lost until I realized they had already released CQ3! This game improves on a lot of things the others established. the magic system is cool. the weapons and armor are always good. Adding the pirate ship stuff was such a cool idea and it played well. It offered some challenges and an entertaining story. I'm excited to play CQ4 in the (Hopefully Near) future. I would like to see 2-4 player co-op, but I know that is kind of hard to do. It would be fun!
