Ni no Kuni™ II: Revenant Kingdom

I played this game right after I have finished Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (which was btw an 10/10 game) and I want to review this game form the point of a japanese learner. First, overall to the game: The introduction was really good and I really like the new combat style. This game has a huge open world with a lot (160!) side quests which were sometimes exhausting, but I liked them. There were also some easter eggs from the first sequel that really felt that this game plays in the same world like the first one. However, there were also some parts, where I thought: "Well, is that really the world of Ni no Kuni?" I get it, that it plays in the future, but still...what happened to the Imaajen from the first part? They played there a huge part and in this game, they weren't even mentioned once (or I just didn't find it?!). Also the whole city building and military operations were kinda exhausting. The story was nice, but not that great. Now from a japanese learner's view: Unfortunately, this game has no furigana and I also found the vocabulary sometimes very challenging. However, it was still quite easy to follow the main story for me (after two years of learning japanese). You can decide for yourself, whether you want to do a side quest to read some dialog, or level up your characters and gather rare monster drops. There is, like in the first part, only some part of the main story fully voiced. However, with GameSentenceMiner and Yomitan, this game was great. So, would I recommened this game for japanese learners? Yes, but not as their first game. It is a nice addition to the world of Ni no Kuni and I liked the overall playstyle and the open world aspect. And I absolutely love the graphics and the music, which also had some remakes from the first sequel! I had much fun playing it! 9/10

so far so good like 3 to 4 hours in and loving this game

the character designs are just straight off ripping off of ghibli studio, which already makes it a hard to justify title, but on top of that we are getting a very generic story from the start. the game wasn't really making me feel like a main character and for that reason i'm out

Might be a skill issue, but there's just way too much going on in this game. The story and artstyle is great, but the gameplay is just such a mess

게임이 몬가 재미 없음 깊이가 너무 얕고 스토리 너무 유치 엔딩도 ??? 하게 만드는 엔딩 그에 반해 가격은 너무 비쌈
