Nexomon

muy bonito juego, me dio un buen tiempo de entretenimiento, disfrute todo el tiempo del juego, una buena forma de olvidar el bodrio en lo que sea vuelto pokemon, escribo esta reseña en el momento antes de desinstalar, por que lastimosamente ya lo acabe, me hubiera gustado que durara más. bonita historia buenos diseños buenos compañeros. solo me queda decir; nos vemos en Nexomon Extinction y próximamente en nexomon 3

Out of the many pokemon style battle games I have played...this is one of the better ones.

Fun pokemon esque game with 4th wall breaking story :)

Nexomon caught my interest as I do enjoy monster taming games, and wanted to give this series a try. The story is the more serious type of story, not being on par with a JRPG or something of similar nature but surely felt fine and acceptable. It starts quick and blunt, making the main goal quick to figure out. Aside of the serious setting, there are some jokes to break the fourth wall, giving it a silly touch in a good way at times. The graphics are very charming and feel suiting to the world you play in. I was very surprised that almost every single opponent you fight, be it a simple NPC or a kind of boss, has their own visuals which one doesn't see that often to be the case. A very big plus point to not run into fifty of the same face NPCs in the middle of nowhere, making it feel like even the random NPCs are characters of their own. And this is good. The music's comfortable and feels suiting to the areas, never feeling like it's too much or feeling off. It felt a bit funny when something serious was going on, entering a house, and you have the relaxing theme or that going on. Gameplay is rather simple and not hard to understand. Leveling is rather fast and never felt like it takes too long to gain levels for your team members, you get the information you want to know, and each move takes stamina instead of a counter how many times you can use a move which is a nice change of pace. Money wasn't ever a problem, always having enough to buy items when needed or to be prepared for the case of cases. And with a bit over three hundred Nexomon, you have your options and go with whatever team you may enjoy from their appearance. The simplicity of the game could be seen as a negative as it's easy to keep in mind which type's weak to what, the moves tend to go more towards brute force and less about tactics, being on a rather soft difficulty level which could bore veterans but didn't feel bad to me personally. I see it as to be their first game to test the waters, and probably advanced with the second game which I'm interested to give a try at some point. If one doesn't want to try the very famous monster taming franchises and rather look at the indie options, I feel Nexomon is a perfect game for someone new to the genre, and may want to experience what the genre has to offer and to get invested into it. And even as a veteran, it was a fun ride where the post-game content still offers more to stick to the game for some more time.

[b]Do Not Recommend[/b] A [i]just barely[/i] competent monster collector/battler that nails its monster designs but misses the mark with just about everything else. That, combined with the sequel being an improvement in almost every respect, makes this a poor value proposition even at its currently low price. Go play Extinction instead. 5.5/10

UI is kinda meh, but otherwise I enjoyed the game. Would recommend.

I played Nexomon: Extinction before I got this one, and yet that didn't ruin my experience at all. The story in both games is the best part of playing Nexomon, there is so much to do even AFTER you beat the game, and the after-game content is just as good as the main part. It's funny, it's surprising, it's entertaining, and overall I really really enjoyed playing this. 10/10 would replay
