I think my favorite part of the game was when everyone died for a brief moment in the last episode.
this game is painful I cant play anymore
You know when your wife/girlfriend tells you about her dreams? thats what the dialogue in this game is like....ZzZzZ
The game actually got some laughs out of me. It's not deep or that compelling, but the situations are zany and ridiculous a lot of the time. I enjoyed it, so I honestly recommend it. The game actually felt quite short, but this was mostly a pacing problem. Chapter 5 felt very cramped and climactic despite the pace of every chapter prior; I thought there would be much more time for the gang to actually try and make their company work. I enjoyed all of Fran's antics, no criticism. She's funny and charming; though simple. Octavio never seemed to say what I wanted to him to say and his looks tended to set back my immersion. His teeth are so dirty! I still enjoyed him, though. I wish that his bad decision making for the company had grander consequences; it would have been funny to see him screw up something beyond just bankruptcy. Anu's exaggerated body movements and personality were not thrilling but by the time she allied with the duo on Promethea she was interesting. I think the game would've benefitted largely if it went all-in on the zany aspects. The main villain was defeated in an earnest way, like everything up to this point was serious. I wanted these characters to totally stumble into a good ending with the same volume that happened in the first game. The planetary scale of Tales 1 was more earned, but at least they kept the scale.
only person in the world to enjoy this game
Terrible.
New Tales from the Borderlands is a game I simply cannot recommend. I've rarely been this bored playing a game. In fact, the only experience I can think of that comes close was spending dozens of hours playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla. From start to finish, I found myself struggling to stay interested. As for the story, which should be the main attraction in a narrative-driven game, I honestly don't have much positive to say. The characters failed to grab my attention, the writing didn't land for me, and the overall plot felt uninspired. Instead of being invested in what was happening, I was mostly waiting for it to end. That said, I did like the assassin robot. He was easily the highlight of the game for me and provided the few moments that I genuinely enjoyed. Unfortunately, one entertaining character wasn't enough to save the overall experience. The humor, charm, and memorable moments that made previous Borderlands stories enjoyable just weren't there for me. What should have been an engaging adventure ended up feeling like a chore. Overall, I found New Tales from the Borderlands dull, unfunny, and forgettable. Aside from the assassin robot, there was very little that kept me engaged. I would not recommend it.
Comienza bien, termina con una historia terrible.
As a big Borderlands fan I have tried to play this several times, but I just can't. It's truly one of the worst games I've ever played.
