About

NEW STAR™ GP is the arcade racing game where every decision counts - on and off the track! You take control of your own motorsport team, guide your team’s technological development, plan your race strategy, take the wheel, and drive to victory! With a simple but deep gameplay experience and appealing retro visuals, NEW STAR™ GP puts you in the driving seat for every twist and turn as you manage and race your team through decades of racing, from the 1980s all the way to the present day!
Beautifully rendered retro looks and a driving retro soundtrack that bring back fond memories of the iconic racing games of the 1990s.

A pick-up-and-play arcade driving experience that has more depth than you think. While anyone can take the wheel and have success, those who want to truly master the game will want to make use of tyre choice and wear, component reliability, slipstreaming opponents, fuel load, and even pit strategy. Anything can happen in races, from catastrophic component failures and dynamic weather changes, to tyre blowouts and multi-car pileups.

Compete in GPs, Elimination Races, Time Trials, Checkpoint Races, and one-on-one Rival Races. In between events, choose how to upgrade your car, or which staff perks to equip: from sponsored car components to faster pit stops. When you’ve won a season, progress to the next decade of racing and face a new set of opponents and challenges in a brand new car!

Race a myriad of events across the decades at some of the most iconic racing locations around the world. Earn rewards for setting personal bests!

Enjoy the game with your friends with a fun split-screen social multiplayer mode.
Play with 2, 3, or 4 players, choose your car, driver, handicap, and play mode, and any of the tracks to compete on. Points carry over from event to event, so it’s as easy to play one race as it is to play a whole season of racing together.

Can you beat competition from all over the world to clock the fastest Hot Lap time? Outpace your opponents’ ghost-cars and claim your place on the Steam leaderboards!

Man, this is BARELY a no vote, and it's so close close because there's so much I love, but AI and gameplay polish fail it in the end. What's great: -Visuals are amazing, feels like Pole Position in all the right ways -Time trials and checkpoint races feel like a good difficulty curve over the course of the game -Fuel and Tire strategy is critical, old tires/lots of fuel will turn your car into a barge Where it all falls apart: -During GP events (and only during GP) the AI gets buffs/nerfs relative to how you're doing in the season. But these can be huge. Are you in first going into Baku? Watch as your rival goes up by 7 full seconds in the first lap. This is regardless of your upgrades (which do matter for events) because it seems that during the GP, the AI is buffed relative to your current car, so upgrades don't seem to matter -Arcade vs Realism feels unbalanced. Tire, fuel and mechanical wear all have HUGE effects on the handling of the car, and while this can be fun, it also means it doesn't feel like there's any way to master the game, because every single lap of the race you're driving a completely different car. Even after fresh fuel+tires, the suspension, brakes and drivetrain will all be damaged and perform worse. This means there's no such thing as learning braking points, you just have to trust the Red/Green of the racing line. But this racing line is a vague guideline -Bits just seem unpolished. Like, why would I ever hire another manager when all the alternatives im presented with have flaws just as big as the people I have now? Why am I offered a huge amount of money to take someone out of a race when there doesn't seem to be a reliable way to craahs others out of the race, as the AI's will usuallly shrug off contact (unless wheels touch, then one of you is going airborn). Why do rival races not open up even when I have a rival? There's a lot to love here, and my 1980s season was super enjoyable, but as I'm trying to complete the game I'm finding more and more bugbears that have just sucked the fun out of it for me

For under 3€, New Star GP is a surprisingly good and complete little game. It features a proper career mode and stat management, offering decent depth for its size. The arcade driving is pleasant and handles reasonably well. It remains a modest title, but it delivers a solid racing experience.
is this Grid 2019? why the ♥♥♥♥ cerbs kill you?????????? devs don't know ♥♥♥♥ keybinds changes don't save time trial mode is unplayable, career mode is good بضان
Great fun. Arcade racing with just the right amount of strategy on top.
Very fun and lighthearted take on F1 racing. I really enjoy playing it.

Really fun racing game that you can casually pick up or binge, plays great on the deck too.
this game is sick
