Well, "New Ice York" is - on a sober perspective - a 2D-top down detective adventure game with overmap location switching, puzzle solving and some coarse 2D platforming and punch-out-like fist-fight gameplay. The story is hilariously crude and lends towards the cryptic detective-media that is often referred as "cult classic", but I personally found it less endearing than the other entries of "magicdweedoo". Still, it is so punkish, MS-paintish and so far out there that I can still recommend it for people who dig outlandish experiences and I can deeply root from the passion from which it derived from. It takes under 2 hours to beat with minor replayability on some aspects that you may have missed. And I can wholeheartedly say that we need more folks like this developer!

It's worth the asking price - it's a small $10 for a 2-hour game that isn't like anything else...if a bit all over the place.

The game is dandy romp through New Ice York, with a few puzzles and fun dialogue throughout. I certainly appreciated the various characters with their quibbles and musings. Fun game, short, had one particularly difficult gameplay section half way through, but nothing too crazy. The plot was thick, but magical dealings are sometimes hard to solve. Cheers!
