【About Answer Judgement】

This game judges handwritten answers based on the overall shape and components of the character written by the player.
As a result, even if a character is technically incorrect, it may still be judged as correct if its parts or overall form are similar enough.

If someone created a universal model capable of correctly recognizing almost every writer’s unique or heavily distorted handwriting while rejecting almost every missing stroke, malformed character, and visually similar alternative, it would—only half-jokingly—be a landmark achievement in computer science, perhaps even putting the Turing Award within sight.

This game uses existing handwriting recognition technology together with game-specific judgment adjustments. However, perfect judgment across every possible handwriting style cannot be guaranteed.

Please keep this recognition behavior in mind before purchasing the game.

If you contact us through the inquiry form and include an image of the character you actually wrote, we will consider judgement adjustments depending on the details.

Entertainment

A relatively approachable mode recommended for streamers and first-time players. Start here to enjoy fast-paced kanji quizzes.

Serious

Unlocked by meeting certain conditions. This is a high-difficulty mode featuring challenging words that are not commonly seen in everyday life.

Rush

A mode where you can keep taking on questions of the same level. Perfect when you want to focus on practicing a specific difficulty.

Useful Features

Customize

Change game settings such as lives and time limits. You can make the game easier to play, or challenge yourself under stricter conditions.

Jukebox

Change the background music on the mode selection screen. Set the mood before starting the game with your favorite track.

Question Checker

View the questions included in the game. Questions from Serious Mode require you to have reached the corresponding level.

Bonus Mode

KAKITORI ISSEN

A score attack mode where you write the given kanji quickly and carefully. Speed matters, but so does the way you write each character.
