About
Netherguild is a combination between a turn-based tactics RPG and roguelike where you explore dungeons deep below the earth. Command expeditions of adventurers, use careful planning and daring tactics as you venture further below in an attempt to cure a strange plague.
Explore, camp, and fight as far as you can before heading back to resupply...
Construct campfires underground, rest and eat next to them. The food items you consume affect your guild members and the rest of your expedition, with passive effects, permanent changes and more!
──────────────────────────────────────────
Learn how to defeat various enemies (and when to flee) in combat. Hitting enemies requires no RNG - so you can depend on your abilities, whether they come from your equipment or level up skills. However, you should watch out for tricky enemies that are immune to your strategy, unfortunate circumstances and surprises!
In Netherguild, combat is another form of resource management- how can you prevent your characters from getting hurt, or receiving harmful negative effects? When is it the right time to use a powerful ability, when should you save it for later?
──────────────────────────────────────────────────
Different oddities you find underground will present you with various choices that may affect your expedition and the game world at large.
────────────────────────────────────────────────
While you explore below, different events may happen above-ground, presenting opportunity and choice when you return from expeditions.
────────────────────────────────────
Random equipment, random character backgrounds with different skills each playthrough and procedurally generated levels every time you descend underground mean that playthroughs feel different every time.
────────────────────────────────────
Roguelite with Persistence and Story: Keep your characters at the end of each expedition (if they survive), equip them with powerful items and level them up over time. Netherguild's story progresses the more you explore and find out about the secrets of its world.
Dungeon Crawling Resource Management: Powerful abilities have a limited amount of uses. Your characters have limited inventory space. What is more important? The priceless loot you bring up back to the surface, or the firewood logs that let you descend even deeper?
Original Game World: Netherguild may be fantasy, but don't expect it to play by genre conventions at all; No Orcs, no Elves, and no wizards casting fireballs. Expect to find strange biospheres and denizens far underground.
Cute Voxel Aesthetics, Brutal Gameplay: You will get attached to your party... but some of them might perish.
Solo Developed: I'm always happy to get feedback, suggestions and inspiration from players. You can reach me through various channels such as my twitter, the Netherguild discord and Netherguild Steam forum. If you love Netherguild, dislike something about it, or you have a fantastic idea you think should be added to the game, please let me know! :D
Risks: It's always possible that development might slow down due to real life circumstances.
However, Netherguild will be finished as long as I'm physically able to work on it!
If you want Netherguild to reach its full potential, you can help by letting your friends, favorite streamer or gaming news site know about it! (:
Plans: Updates will happen over time; I usually post weekly updates on Netherguild's Discord (unless I'm just about to release a massive update or recovering from one!).
Expectations: Expect progress to be slow and steady- being a solo dev means I can't finish the game in a year, and big updates will take time. Also, expect me to always be active on the Netherguild discord during Early Access, listening to your feedback and fixing any bugs that might pop up.

This is such a nice little dungeon crawler, deceptively complex too. i was going about my day and because of bad spacing and a bad decision i was getting stunlocked, you gotta be careful down there, choose your battles, choose your mercenaries wisely. there's a limited amount of bag space, 4 slots and that's not a lot, managing inventory gets hard, you always want food, sometimes more then 1 piece and wood to camp, that leaves maybe 3 slots with a full party, if anyone dies you're gonna have a rough time. the Artstyle is is very cute and dialogue is humorous too. the people who made this clearly put a lot of love into it and have a specific vision in mind. i think they're going the right direction and i wanna see where it goes ! some things i'd like to see is easier to understand rules about movement, i almost feel like i can move too far sometimes so i can't run away to bait enemies this turn and then setup a position because they can also move a very long distance and am mostly forced to just take the damage and then pile on an enemy or use some CC on them i'd also like to see a feature that helps me distinguish units from each other, create some kind of contrast, maybe color code, mostly because i had moments where i was looking for the guy with the pickaxe to interact with an objective and i didn't understand why i couldn't use the pickaxe, but it was because i was trying to do it with the guy i thought was the guy with the pickaxe. regardless i'm looking forward to what these fella's can cook up and i'll check back again later
Soft and tacticaky deep party roguelike.
Very much early access and the developer has been prompt in addressing major issues. Looking forward to seeing how this continues to flesh out over the coming cycles of development.
this game is so charming
Yeah.... I am a fan of some turn based games, BBrothers being one example. This one just is a bit meh though, can't quite put my finger on as to why. I think its something to do with the post delve city / shop, I really don't like it. Might try it again at some point.
Fun game, the price is fair and will clearly be a steal once it is completed. Most importantly, I bought this in EA because the developer is transparent, down-to-earth, open, and honest with players. He also genuinely cares about our feedback. Even if I hated the game itself, I want to support David and his efforts. Best of luck David!
作者更新很勤快,但是现在相对内容还比较少,期待之后的版本迭代。 As a trpg, or at least strategy game, the skills and classes are fine, though the branches in same class are not so distinguish, but it's just early version so I believe you will add more contents. But what really bothers me is the fight, or before the fight. You see, most similar games provide "stealth", or some kind of function to let player adjust your team members' location and towards. But in your game, most fight begins at the first move into a new room, and the doors or bridges are so narrow that the team can only line up and into the room one by one. I know its hard because your map design is one cell connects to other cells, but if the preparation can't be made before the fight, it just makes the fights similar, and feels like doing the same thing over and over again.
fun game. i cant wait for the full game
Surprised it isn't more popular. Very solid little T-RPG.
