About
This game is a single player, alternate history themed FPS. Based on Ned Kelly, an Australian outlaw in the 1880s.
About 140 years ago, Ned Kelly and his gang were on the warpath of vengeance against corrupt police, greedy land barons and an ignorant government in Australia 1880.
Certain events over the course of Neds life got him into a lot of trouble with the police, and many say Ned and the gang, were falsely accused of various crimes. They survived a shoot out with police in 1878 that resulted in the gang being declared outlaws, with the largest reward ever offered in the British Empire for their capture – dead or alive.
Eventually the authorities were on the hunt for the Kelly gang, but they had ideas of their own. Their plan to derail a train which was full of police, and then declare a republic of North East Victoria. They donned the famous cumbersome heavy metal armour against an overwhelming police presence. The plan was ruined by Thomas Curnow who flagged down the approaching police train with a red scarf.
The game kicks off where the real gang met their end at the final stand.
Can you survive the initial police raid at Glenrowan?

The Kelly Gang - Dan Kelly, Joseph Byrne and Steve Hart, along with a view from inside the helmet of Ned Kelly.
Renditions of the real guns that were used in that era, such as the .577 Snider Enfield rifle, and the Martini Henry police issue rifle.
Renditions of various locations in Victoria, including the final stand battle in Glenrowan, Benalla, Sovereign Hill and Melbourne.
No gimmicks or frills, bare metal battles with the Victorian Police and Kelly Gang supporters.
Help level included which has further information and a shooting range.
The goal is to survive the assault, and find the police Captain near the train, and search him for the location of the next location to advance.
The player and the gang then travels onwards to Melbourne through various levels, taking on various enemies.
"The Australian government lauds the bushranger as one of the country's 'greatest folk heroes'." - BBC
"The legacy of his life and the chord he struck within a young country, unwilling to bend to injustice, saw Ned Kelly become Australia’s most enduring legend." - ironoutlaw.

Reviews
This alternate-history FPS has a great core concept, but its reach exceeds what the execution can live up to - Original review continues here but see bottom for post-2024-05-14 update amendment. There's a lot to like here - the levels are a decently large size and allow a fair amount of sneaking around, there's a pleasing variety to the weapons, and the shooting is generally satisfyingly chunky. You generally won't get away with just trying to tank your way through. Unfortunately, there's also a lot of bad jank - ranging from "the pause menu doesn't pause the game properly" and "while it handles non-1920x1080 resolutions, it doesn't scale the UI properly when it does so and you will lose relevant HUD information as a result", through "level design has a number of invisible walls that block your shots for no reason" and "for some reason you can't retain your weapons from one level to the next" and all the way to "if you aren't careful, reloading a weapon and switching it for another will lose you the ammunition that you just loaded" and "the level access codes don't work beyond the 3rd level". Stuff that actually gets in the way of being able to enjoy what the game offers. These things are a real shame, not because they completely break the game (although they are annoying) but because if you play it for a while you'll start to form a clear idea of what this game could be with some more bugfixes and polish, and I really want to see how that version of the game plays. I'm giving it a thumbs up but I will say this - at the price of the game I think it's worth it as-is, but you'll get the most out of it if you go in knowing that there are bugs in it which may never get fixed. EDIT 2024-05-14: The developer released a new build earlier in the year which I've revisited, and I'm happy to confirm that the level code issue is resolved. I've completed the main campaign and been pleasantly surprised that there's a (pretty tough) post-campaign level as well. I have not run into the ammo-loss-after-reloading issue since trying the new build.

A very cool, Ned Kelly based, first person shooter. Good gun variety, really nice open levels, and a toggleable helmet. Definitely recommend checking this game out.
It's awesome! I haven't played it in awhile, but it's still as fun as i remember it.
