About
Concrete Visions is a first-person psychological thriller video game with survival horror, FPS and beat’em up elements. There are two main components to the gameplay - melee / lite arms combat and environmental exploration as you strive to survive the night.
Heavily influenced by games such as Condemned: Criminal Origins, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy & Anatomy
The game's combat is built primarily around melee with firearms available.
The goal with Concrete Visions is to combine a disturbing photo sourced lo-fi atmosphere with nightmarish aesthetics in order to create a replayable gameplay experience for horror and retro FPS fans
The town of Stonebrook is desolate and all of the residents have disappeared.
All that remains are the junkies, the dregs, & the scum, and every one of them is out for blood.
Malone is a cult-like leader for these cretins, and you are certain he is responsible for the hordes of bastards on your tail.
Fight your way through these cold streets and wild overgrowth on a quest for answers, safety, and freedom.
It’s time to put fist to concrete.

Reminds me of classic Manhunt criminal horror. Violent gritty and dark. Satisfying to break bottles over heads. Honestly, loved the aesthetic - I want more. Next time let me enter interiors I am craving some environment interaction and puzzles Resident Evil style! CHECK IT OUT!
Its really short but makes fun. would recommend
Unsettling atmosphere and fairly priced, good length as well!
I don't think the description for the game fits whatsoever. I don't see there being any psychological thriller aspects and no survival horror elements. Instead, it's a pretty basic FPS with some brawler elements tossed in. That being said, I quite enjoyed it. Smacking people with a rod, beating them up, and occasionally shooting them was pretty fun. The level design has this Silent Hill type fog going on that is purely a means to the atmosphere. Level design itself feels a lot like early 90s FPS titles. I found myself going through them so quickly that I didn't run into any issue where I thought things looked less than stellar for what I expected. The melee combat is really satisfying, and gunplay is adequate. It's a simple FPS and honestly it's just a bunch of fun.
Incredibily boring, the graphics are.. fine for a while, but after a few levels they get samey and not being able to see anything in the distance is annoying..
Concrete Visions is another low budget "shooter" (more of a first person beat-em-up), this one from DOSMan whose other game Reverend I really really enjoyed. This one invokes Condemned: Criminal Origins as inspiration which set me up expecting something this wasn't. Thematically I guess there's a connection in that you're fighting homeless thugs in semi-urban ish environments and it has slight emphasis on melee combat. At no point did this feel like a horror game, which is what I was hoping for based on the description and reviews. This would be fine if the game was better, because I do enjoy these kind of shooters, however the art style is extremely nauseating in a way the screenshots don't do justice and the whole game just isn't that engaging. For melee you can really just hold down the mouse button and back up to deal with all of the enemies that mindlessly come towards you. It's kinda cool to see the developer's growth between this and Reverend and I do feel a little bad thumbing this down because I did technically enjoy it, but I wouldn't recommend it to most people. This isn't the developer's fault, but it's another case of reviews being way too positive. For the record, with cheap and clearly short games, I rarely if ever watch trailers or videos and only briefly peruse the store page. I like going in blind and have been able to mostly trust the reviews people write to find some gems. I've found and enjoyed so many great games this way (that's how I found his other game, Reverend), but this isn't one of them. Get Reverend instead and keep an eye out on his future releases though, because I cannot stress enough how much better that game was than this one.
A unique fun quick FPS/brawler. Very eerie and atmospheric with horroresque elements. Movement is tight and every weapon has its use. Graphics are photo scanned digitized with fluid movement, very much reminded me of Sharpshooter 3D! Play this one, the price is right ^^
For the affordable price, Concrete Visions is a great indie horror to have in your library. Although the gameplay is straight forward, there are lots of weapons to try and hidden areas to discover. It's fun to go back and try different tactics. If I can offer advice, it would be to introduce a more complex enemy type for variety and more manageable weapon switching.
Fun!
