The world we have known is coming to an end. The European Union is in disarray, with a new superpower emerging on the horizon: The Novorussian Federation, which already welcomed new members such as Lithuania, Ukraine and Poland.
Enter the first mega-city of Europe: Crimson Tide. The free city of Crimson Tide(the representative free city of this New World Order, showing that both systems can co-exist in harmony, forging a better future for its citizens) was raised as the representative pinnacle of humanity's achievements on the border of Germany and Poland, in agreement to respect the sovereignty of both the EU/Transatlantic States and Novorussian Federation. But, as history has taught us, this is true only in theory....
Governing parties are not political but rather economical, pointing to a new direction of leading nations. Gone are the days of political parties, replaced by voting with your wallet for the corporate entity which provides everyday life with the highest benefits. Leading corporate entities deal most of the cards, keeping its citizens in check with mandatory medication.
Somewhere in the city, in the Lakk District, a regular middle class citizen is about to start another routine day…
An overdose of reality can have dire consequences...
Neckbreak is a pill poppin' first person adventure with semi-tactical in your face combat and unique perks and quirks.
You start in your apartment getting ready for another routine day at the office and your adventure starts from there. The storyline will progress with completion of main missions and branch out depending on various factors (chosen path, mental state, specific choice/interaction/pickup/etc).
You are a regular, middle class citizen. By day, leading your ordinary, rinse-repeat corpo-routine life, with your lovely girlfriend Olga by your side, a well paid job and crib with an amazing view. What more could a guy want?
Yet you feel privileged and as a true socialist you feel you need to give something back…
...By night, you give your contribution to society as a self-proclaimed dealer of justice, dispatching all sorts of scum with extreme prejudice… Or, at least that is what you think...
Featuring:

Hard to recommend a game with endings the community can't figure out after a few years and the devs themselves are unwillng to help. Also, absolutely garbage lighting that is way too obnoxious.
Do not buy this. Its broken from start. They cant even get the default FOV correct. When you do get the settings correct the difficulty is unplayable 15 minutes in. Imagine you a real fragile person unarmed facing a room full of men with guns ready to shoot rapid fire all at once while you have zero cover. I bought this back when it was called Project Downfall and while difficult it was playable. Loading screens every 2 minutes, lighting issues, constant pop up text, and more. Too bad really.

This game wants to provide the Hotline Miami experience but as a first person shooter, though it offers all of the frustration of that game without any of the reward. There's no opportunity to enjoy the gunplay when you have to play it safe and hide behind cover to avoid dying too quickly, there's an absurd amount of loading screens ruining the pace, the game is optimized pretty poorly, and the soundtrack is fine but nothing to write home about.
This trailer is misleading, the pacing of the game is way more intense and difficult even on the lowest difficulty, with usually way more enemies coming at you at once. The game certainly looks good, it has a unique vibe with a interesting visuals and some funky tunes but majorly ain't fun to play. There are just too many questionable game design choices. The AI behaves extremely inconsistent: it’s far too slow when you’re on pills and suddenly way too fast and accurate when you’re not. While your own bullet spread feels extremly inconsistent and often inaccurate. In my opinion, it’s just too much when you frequently get one-shotted, while enemies can often absorb multiple bullets, sometimes even headshots depending on the range. Whenever you’re out of position, you’re basically done, since sliding feels useless, which is odd for a game that’s supposed to focus on fast-paced movement, gunplay, and bullet-time mechanics. On top of that, I keep getting stuck on random geometry. I eventually found myself either baiting enemies into a single corridor or just holding an angle instead of actually moving quickly through the level, since you need to clean out the level before being able to continue, which was getting boring and didn't seem like how the game was intended to be played. The level design, at least in the first two levels, is really poor and I couldn’t motivate myself to push any further - especially since the game doesn't allow you to save manually but also doesn't save inbetween single levels. I definitely can understand where people see the appeal in these types of games but I believe there are just better alternatives that aren't this unforgiving and frustrating to play. (4.6/10)
A game where you die in one hit but enemies dont, everyone has laser accurate guns and you don't, and enemies can see you at all times but you can't. It just feels overly punishing most of the time. What makes super difficult games like Hotline Miami fun is the tightness of controls and enemies also dying in one hit to encourage aggressive play. This game wants to be hard but struggles to be fun. The devs say they don't want it to be Hotline Miami and only used it for aesthetic inspiration. They insist it's not a boomer shooter. It feels like they couldn't figure out what they wanted it to be and just made it hard and unfun as a substitute. I can squint and see the vision of what they wanted to do. It's just not the game in front of me. Props to the artists though. The game certainly looks good.
This game is difficult af and it is by design. I am having a great time with it nonetheless as it scratches that boomer shooter itch with a lot of unnecessary violence and gore. There are some flaws to the game, but if you like the aesthetic and a gritty world where anyone may hurt you at any second, then this is for you!
Garbage!
Ещё не прошёл, но крайне рекомендую ;не припомню шутанов настолько требовательных к реакции - не для пусек
Incredibly painful and obnoxious gameplay with puke-inducing lighting. Basically took what made Hotline Miami great and stitched it in, especially with the aesthetic but somehow fail to deliver their own spin on it so most of the time I was wishing I was playing that instead. The weapons too felt incredibly lousy with how far wide spread the bullets go, felt like they did it just for the sake of making it difficult without a second thought but turned into more of an annoyance when the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bullets don't even come pubicly-hair close to where your cursor is (even for the so-called precision rifle). The hit registry on targets is usually a miss too since they're just walking pngs and when you do get too close to get a hit in, you're already dead. Horrible game overall and don't see myself returning to it ever.
