not really worth the price honestly.
This is a great bit of escapism, I wish there was a bit more to do or that the entities might be more interactive, like the dinosaurs just sort of walk around like you aren't there. I get that's not the point but it would be nice to see some better ai that way. Over all its really good, the lighting of the sunsets and such really just wow me sometimes!
the dolphins THE DOLPHINS THE CHERRY TREES THE WINTER ANIMALS 11 OUT OF 10
i know i havent spent much time exploring this experience. but i still recommend it because its basically a meditative experience in my eyes. it's pretty and fun to get up close to the models of the animals (and dinosaurs in one trek :) ) i could see this as the beginning of the modern age of animal exposure and education in a way that is less harmful than many zoos and exhibits. plus if you cannot go to an actual forest and sit with the wildlife, this is an okay substitute (though not a replacement for actually going outside)
It is not a game in the story/quest-line sense. Very pretty, decent sounds, nice if you just want to see what your vr can do and show it off to friends/family.

Three out of five stars... A for effort... but really kind of underwhelmed by this title. It's neat, I recommended because it's kind of fun and it has a lot of potential, but the polish is just not there. It's probably worth the ten bucks but I won't be playing it nearly as much as I had hoped because a LOT of things need help. One example: I actually bought this because I read that you could spawn butterflies in the nature areas. I had just been playing Steam VR's "Home" environment where if you stand on the left side of the outdoor porch, butterflies will come fluttering up to you and circle around you and land on your hands. This was so awesome and fascinating to me that I just assumed a game totally dedicated to nature would have the same thing happening. I mean, even World of Warcraft just put the same mechanic into its game, where there's an item you pick up that spawns butterflies which come land on you. But in this game, all you do is throw this orb (which doesn't throw very well by the way, it's like throwing something through molasses) and it slowly flies off until it goes under the mesh somewhere and eventually explodes under the ground where you can't see it, and then some tiny butterflies pop up out of the ground and flutter in that one random area for a few seconds. HUGE LETDOWN. I've only played for two days now but some things are already bugging me so much I might quit playing altogether. I bought this title to help me relax after work, so all I wanted to do was sit in a forest. I don't want action or adventure, just sitting. But almost all of the sounds are "freebie" level and don't match the environment: for example loud crashing wave sounds on a beach with tiny barely-there waves. Horrible repeating white noise sound for the big waterfall in White Waterfall that grates on the nerves and makes it so you don't want to be near the waterfall for very long. And each of the environments all get the same music... its fine music but I was really hoping for more appropriate selections for each world, such as more Oriental sounding music for Green Bamboo, etc. The sound design needs a LOT of work; pretty much all the sounds need to be replaced with much better and longer loops that are more appropriate for the environment they are meant to emulate. The other thing that really stood out to me about the environments is that while this is kind of meant to be a "find a neat spot and meditate" app, there was no effort put into making 'spots' in the environments. The trek areas are just random 'nature' stuff without putting thought into making specific little spots made for a person to sit and appreciate the view of that one little spot. You should be able to find a spot which is the kind of place people would want to sit (like on top of a big rock, at the end of a beach peninsula facing the sunset, etc) and it should be done with a lot more detail and care; you should be able to stand in that spot and turn a full circle, and there should be nothing in view from that spot which is ugly or mediocre. These 'spots' need to be worked into every trek area. For example in the Green Bamboo level there is a little house which just begs to be one of these "sit and think" spots, but you can't even enter the house! You get a red path trying to enter, so there is no way to sit inside and look at the view. Very shocked and sad about that. The little house DESPERATELY needs to be a Tea Room with an intractable Tea Ceremony set!!!! I can't imagine why the Dev didn't implement this. The only "spot" in the Green Bamboo area is the spot on the top of the hill with the one little 'lantern' stone post where a tiger is sitting under a tree, but even that spot doesn't have much to offer and the little bird repeats constantly alighting on the post and taking off. The repetition gets really annoying after about one minute of sitting there. On the beach island, there were so many empty spots BEGGING to be dressed up... a lone little island by itself off the main island which needed more careful bush and flower placement to make it a meditation spot... a cool cave on one side of the main island facing the beach, that cave needed to be made a little darker than the surrounding area plus a light beam coming down from the open 'chimney' above, plus maybe some elements like small stacked river rocks and some lit candles, etc. Just a few touches to make it really pop. I really don't know why some assets like stacked rocks, lit candles, incense, and such items couldn't be added that you could spawn in to your chosen meditation spot. I mean really. Basically, a good level designer (a good one, not a mediocre one) needs to get in here and work on these levels. They don't necessarily need higher poly assets, just much better and more thoughtful placement of said assets. Also the flora needs to be looked at; there were very out of place trees in the various environments, types which would not necessarily be growing there. A lot of people were upset about the low quality animals and low quality animations... didn't bother me that much as the animals are rare occurrences. What DID really bother me was the horrible UI design. The entire User Interface of this game was counter-intuitive and annoying, especially attaching the "help screen" to some dot on your forehead which made it shake all over the place while you are trying to read it! Good lord who thought that was a good idea??? Also the orbs which surround you when you push Right-A were static, and the 'orb ring' which surrounds you could not be rotated to bring an orb more comfortably into reach. The one I wanted was always behind me and I had to twist around in my chair all the time to get it, very uncomfortable UI design. I can't imagine why the left and right joystick buttons on one of the controllers couldn't be used to rotate the "orb ring." I am shocked that this wasn't implemented from the start. Also getting into and out of the environments feels very abrupt; it just cuts to black screen suddenly which is jarring. Like I said, very unpolished. Lots of love needs to go into this to make it really nice. Right now it's more like a college level class project which ended up getting published as a finished product.
Wonderful relaxation with a little imagination and magic. Amazingly created graphics. I like the possibility of the size of the world. I love it! Great job from the developers.
For the time of it's release it was ok, but for today's standards it is very dated, both graphically and the whole experience.
