I always love to go back to the Dalimars and i really liked this game BUT it was pretty short. I just skiped two minigames i didnt take 3 hours to play it. For 13-14 bucks its a bit too short. If its on sale for about 10 bucks then its fair. Still all in one I really liked this part of MCF. I can recommend this game
Mystery Case Files Ravenhearst game was the first HOG I ever played and it got me hooked on the genre. So much to love about these. Later on though MCF changed developers a couple of times and lost the uniqueness that it once had. Its signature puzzle was the rube goldberg type of puzzle. That kind of puzzle gradually was phased out and I was so disappointed. Many games in the series did not follow the continuity of the series but I hung in there, mainly because its my favorite series and I guess I am loyal to it. Now GrandMa games creates MCF games and I was not very pleased by their lack of continuity with the MCF style. But in these last 2 games, this one and The Last Resort that came before they seem to have regained some continuity with the MCF stories. The Last Resort hearkened back to the style of Dire Grove and this Dalimar Legacy game was delightful in that it continued the ongoing story of Charles Dalimar and brought in elements from his story from many previous games. There were a couple of old style rube goldberg but also a couple of "cheater" ones, which consist of an enemy where you have to beat a succession of 3 different kinds of puzzles to get past him. Not the same. Doesn't count. I now have renewed hope in the series that is MCF and am very pleased with these last 2.
It's a new MCF game and that's the only reason I bought it. I will recommend it but I also recommend that you wait for it to be included in a sale.
I give this game a solid 7.5/10. It was really good. Tons of puzzles. Very lacking in the HOG screens. But the storyline was great and I think the length of the game wasn't dragged out. It is worth the money if you want to give it a try.
One of the best HOGs I've played in awhile. Pretty short but the story was unique and engaging.
Good game, kinda short. Hoping for Crime in Reflection and Riddle of Mrs. Bishop added on Steam since I collect all of your MCF Games.
Easily the worst game in the series.
I loved the idea behind this game, but the game is just too short! I feel a bit cheated on my money.
This is a really fun HOG. Fun storyline, good movement from one puzzle to the next, some unique puzzling. Highly recommend.
This game has more soul than The Last Resort and Incident at Pendle tower. This game has more lore about the Dalimars and Ravenhearst, I would say I like this game, although some elements such as wordings and writings didn't quite fit well as how the old games were. I gotta say though. I really dig the art style here such as Mr. Dalimar's residence and the room where he locked the girl. Also more lore about what this green energy can do. I would say one of the best GrandMa games has done so far along with The Harbinger and Crossfade. GrandMa can do better storyline if it is about the past cases XD. Hopefully GrandMa can make better storyline that is not related to other past cases except if it's about Huntsville, Prime Suspects or even the Spinoff games. WE ALSO DO NEED ANOTHER SHADOW LAKE SEQUEL.
