Interesting puzzles in puzzles, map seems to be missing in parts of the game.

I've been playing this series since it started out as standard HOP games. I enjoyed this game but not as much as some other the others im the series. The storyline is similar to other entries in the series - someone is tyring to do something bad and you are tasked with stopping them through puzzles, point and click style, and HOP games. I did think the storyline was a bit lacking in detail. I finished the game and wasn't quite sure of some of the details of the story. The narrative left things a bit nebulous. Visually it falls within the realm of past games. Very dark and mysterious and generally appealing. The human animations were a bit off but you can look past it since it is a small part of the game. Gameplay wise I don't think this one was as challenging as some of the others. There were really only maybe 2-3 spots that stumped me for a bit. I played on Hard mode and found it moderately challenging (and I hadn't played this style of game in a long time). The HOP scenes were also fairly easy. There were some "door" puzzles that didn't quite make sense or give you enough cues on what to do but they're manageable. I did like that once done you can go back and replay the HOP scenes to find the morphing objects. I got all the achievements but two (becausse they are negative based - skipping puzzles, using reset). All in all this is a pretty typical addition to the series but not one of my favorite titles. NOTE - this game does contain dark themes and some violence. Not for children.

Good Addition to the MCF series. Story was good, I am glad they added a bonus story for the History of how the incidents happened in the first place and all. I reccomend this game if you are like me and want to know what has been happening to our Master Detective through out, and if you casually want to hunt for stuff. This is not as challenging as the last ones but fun none-the-less. Big Fish, if you read this, I am still patiently waiting for the rest of the MCF games to be availbe here in Steam. :)

Just like others are saying: it is a bit short. But that being said, it's a good one in my opinion!

I got it for Halloween and it was a good choice, for the price (5euros). The storyline is ok, the overall ambiance is a bit creepy and it surely helps the story. People are getting suddenly very old without any reason. Tons of puzzles to solve, everything in this game is well done, from music to voice acting and cut scenes, no bugs nor crashes, the difficulty is average, most of the time easy, sometimes hard. I didn't know what to expect but i am surprised in the good way. I would recommend the game if you like point n clic, you will spend a few hours trying to solve the mystery around Dreadmond.
