About
What if you could build your own robot? What if you could poke it? Speak to it? Laugh with it?
MyRobot is a robot sandbox game with a TON of character interactions; from triggering emotions to customizations to engaging NPC conversations! All wrapped with silly gameplay and AI integration!
AI is optional and you can host your own AI models for complete privacy. Alternatively you can use our online AI services or mix and match!
1 token = 1 letter spoken

Customization is super important in MyRobot and everything you change about your robot is done in an intricate manner; you cut hair with scissors, color eyelashes with pens, and change hairstyles with hair combs. Want your robot to have fangs? Use the dental tool!🦷👃👀👄

I backed this game on Kickstarter. Despite being labeled as finished it feels extremely incomplete. The gameplay is highly lacking, the controls and menus are confusing, the A.I. is boring to talk to because it won't answer questions. All it ever responds with is some variation of "what do you think?" I'd love to recommend it since I invested in it so long ago, but in its current state I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Idea is good but this game needs to be marketed as an early access, gameplay is way too buggy and janky, feels unfinished.

My biggest complaint are the bugs and lack of content in some areas, but this will get fixed as updates roll out so it’s fine. The customization is really cool and easy when you apply it to your robot, the mod support is easy to manage and can be done in game with no headache, and finally the movement, it’s janky sometimes but once you master it, it’s fun to mess around. I don’t have an issue with the AI integration as thanks to the developer, I did a whole play through and haven’t used 50k+ tokens yet and you will get a GENEROUS amount as updates roll out (if you own it when they do.) If you’re wary that you won’t like the chatbot AI in-game. you can literally edit their prompt for each one to make them speak how you want them, hell make them pretend a character or OC if you give them enough info. Also you can shut them up altogether. Overall, 7/10.
👎🏻The game looks terrible. All the scenery is brown mud. 👎🏻The gameplay is parkour. 👎🏻The local AI isn't working. I tried my best. 👎🏻The cloud AI is limited. 👎🏻Trying to sell a subscription to Potreon because it has a longer time limit and faster bug fixes. 👍I'll pursue a refund through the American courts if necessary.
Has so such to offer in terms of gameplay and interactability. Not to mention the fun physic glitchs that bring a smile to your day. Sadly doesn't feel like a FULLY finished game but they're still updating it so my opinion on that is likely to change if they continue the great work.
I really wanted to like this, and as a demo and a concept, I think its a good start. But it lacks a lot of things I expect from a game, such as a completed sandbox, clear tutorial guides, and some sense of guidance beyond just being a mechanics sandbox. Getting lost when you find new systems is never a good read. I think more time should be spent on gameplay systems and the quest line before any additional "AI" or "Relationship" mechanics are added. These are things that can be fixed to make a game first, not a waifu simulator.
For me, MyRobot is an interesting gem of a sandbox. I won't deny, the game has it's quirks and bugs, sometimes seems to require reloads due to mechanics breaking, like grappling hook often not firing mid air, or companions after falling down not being able to stand up. The AutoWizard for self-hosting AI seems to also to work for chatting, with fairly low GPU requirement, but the installation for TTS seems to be failing for me at this moment. But, while the game mechanics still needs polish, the narration, exploration and interaction with and between the AI companions are quite interesting. Give your AI companion a bit of sarcasm and you might find yourself listening to cooking lessons while riding on your companion's back, being roasted by the sun in the middle of the desert. Definitely a game worth experiencing.
