I’m mixed on this game. I really want to like it. I have seen some dumb and uninformative negative reviews, so I will give the game a positive vote. My main complaint is this game crashes for me. From looking around the net, it seems like it is an old issue involving the transitions, I am not sure if I am unlucky or something, but that’s when the crashes can happen, before or after a fight. So, save often if you buy and you will regret not getting this on sale. The game boasts some unique mechanics, however there may be too many. I feel like I am not using some to their fullest. Not really a con, but the following adds to it. The game doesn’t explain things too well in my opinion. I bet you will be looking at a guide or two at some point. I wasn’t sure how to “float” at first (even when it was being taught) and “moe kills” are important, but a pain to learn. This game does a few parodies on tropes, so if you like that kind of stuff, or are weeb trash, you may like this game, but in all honesty, if you don’t like the “moe kill” (you will have to learn this mechanic) or the story, you may want to refund. It has given me a few laughs and smiles, so I kept playing, despite it making me mad sometimes, but it will be up to you if you think it will be worth it to you.
This is the kinda game preteens play thinking its innocent while the adults watching them jaws drop at the words and language used. (By the way, totally not sexual, just full of sexual-esque dialog)
Very good JRPG, genuinely hilarious dialogues and characters. It's especially good if you like the concept of "unbounded growth" where you can kinda lvl up to infinity and have your abilities go into the billion of damage. To me, the only real weak point is the 3D graphics, which are quite bad. But if you can disregard it, it's a very good game (the 2D graphics (character portaits, etc.) are very well made though).
This is what happens when Neptunia and Disgaea have a baby. I originally played this on PS3 where it was one of my favorite games on the platform. Playing again now I am enjoying it less. Not sure if it's because I've played it before, or maybe I'm just not in the mood for the grind, or maybe it just isn't as good as I remember. Whatever the case, it's still a great game.
Game becomes a huge dragging experience pretty quick and crashes all the time
- So fun to play, rating 91/100
This game is good. Like the game designs. Good to waste some time on.
