Mostly a linear walking simulator with no narration, some interactions and no puzzles, except the actual "work" at the company that will repeat 4 or 5 times. Supposed to be repetitive and pointless, wasn't so bad, and at least those parts were short. Throughout the game, I was engaged emotionally and related to the main character. Some surreal scenes were quite inspired and memorable. However, my immersion was severely hurt by a bug preventing progression midway through, a conveyor belt section I had to replay three times (if you can't cross a yellow crosswalk even after changing perspective, quit and reload your last continue). Game might be gray, somber, depressing, and that's part of the intended narrative, but there's also glimmers of hope signified by dashes of brighter colors, side areas, and what you do regarding them. Story felt existential, mysterious and Scandinavian, which makes sense since the developer was Norwegian. Despite the big bug, which you might avoid, it's a short experience I recommend provided you're not burnt out on dystopias. The regular asking price is too high for the 2-3 hours you'll get. Pick up on sale.
Game breaking bug that hinders any progression at a certain story point that has apparently not been fixed even now, so could not finisht the (depressing) story! The control scheme is mouse clicks only, which can get tiresome for your hand as that's the only way to move in any direction by holding down the mouse button etc., and there is absolutely NO way to adjust or modify that. The Smartphone App Mini Game (for achievements) is unnecessarily grindy and tedious, but I suppose that's the point...
This is why indie games exist: to explore ideas and art rather than chase engagement metrics and “gamey” success. Minimal gameplay gives way to a thoughtful, surreal experience that evokes INSIDE and Severance, reflecting on corporate routine, digital absurdity, and the quiet drain of daily work. Depressing at times but occasionally beautiful, it’s best for a mature audience that appreciates games which make you stop and think. 3/5 blops.
This game was one of those games that gives you a memorable experience. If I had to give a score, I would give it this way: Graphics: 8/10 Music: 9/10 Story and concepts: 10/10 Animations: 8.75/10 Environmental and atmospheric design: 9/10 Gameplay: 9/10 This game tries to describe humans, their surroundings, and their actions, and it does so in a unique way. There are cutscenes in the game that are not of the quality we should expect and are very blurry and poor quality, and this is considered a weakness. The game's graphics are excellent in their own style, but it cannot be said that they have nothing to say, but could have been better. The game's environment is also excellent and is designed in a way that easily conveys the feeling that the game wants to give the player. The music is great and in surreal adventure games like this one, music works really well. The concepts of the game depend on the player and I think everyone can have a view on this game and maybe all of these views are right, but everyone's opinion and every person's view is respected. In the end, if you like this type of game like me, you will enjoy it a lot, but if you don't like this type of game, maybe it's just a regular game, but in my opinion, if we pay attention to the environment, space, concepts, music, images, etc. and understand them and immerse ourselves in the game, you will definitely enjoy it. Thank you to the game development team for this game. I recommend this game.
The puzzle mini games make this experience beyond frustrating and tedious. Please don't waste your money on this thing.
Mosaic is depressing, weird, and honestly kinda interesting. The art style is very different in a good way, and some of the clips are genuinely creepy in a way that fits the tone of the game. The whole experience has this bleak, uncomfortable atmosphere that definitely sticks with you. The BlipBlop side achievements felt unnecessary, but I get what they were going for. It was a decent challenge at first, but after a certain point.... there is absolutely no way I was doing that by hand unless I wanted to sacrifice my mouse or controller to the achievement gods and a week. Most of my “playtime” after finishing the actual game was just letting an auto-clicker doing the work. The main game itself only took about 7 hours, and the rest was the achievement cleanup. Overall, it’s a solid one-playthrough experience. I probably won’t replay it, because it’s very much one of those games, but I’m glad I played it. Decent experience overall. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for something new.
I ditched this game when I first got it, due to the extremely slow walking pace of the main character. It seems to be fixed now (or I am just older and more patient lol) — so I gave it another shot. And well...it's a game. It's not really exciting or deep or anything. The controls are a bit clunky from time to time, so that did take out quite the fun. While I do understand that the message of the game is something along the lines of — 'escape the hamster wheel', it just falls so flat. Thousands of unpaid bills just don't magically go away when you do end up quitting the job you hate. The ending is just so - meh. Minigames are also very boring. I don't know, this just did not hit the spot at all.
This is a narcotic, pointless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. avoid
