A pixel art retro RPG spinoff of a horror franchise that's every bit as cool as it sounds. P.S. - Still not going to Freddy's. Even if I haven't had a pizza in 3 years. P.P.S. - When Is FNAF gonna do a "survivor-like" game?
POPGOES Arcade is such a hidden gem, especially if you love retro RPGs or just enjoy diving into deep, spooky lore. It completely subverts expectations by taking turn-based, 8-bit combat and mixing it with a genuinely eerie atmosphere across its two chapters, POPGOES the Weasel and The Machinist. The pixel art is super charming, the chiptune soundtrack is an absolute banger, and the gameplay hits that perfect sweet spot where it's easy to pick up but still challenging enough during boss fights to keep you hooked. It can get a little grindy at times, and some of the hidden secrets are definitely cryptic, but it never feels like it's wasting your time. Hopefully we will see more POPGOES games on steam. :D
500 Youtooz figurines, Oh my gosh so retro it feels like im larping all over the place im larping so good this is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad it's not even funny but the puppet is the only aspect that saves the game
I'm honestly surprised how much I ended up enjoying POPGOES Arcarde. When I first opened the game up and saw the retro pixel style RPG game, I thought I was gonna drop the game pretty fast. However, I ended up playing the game through the end and the Machinist content too. The gameplay is extremely simple, and the world/enemies are also extremely simple. However, it was just engaging enough that it kept me hooked. The difficulty increases and the progression were honestly just the right touch. The length of the game was also probably perfect, as any longer and I might have started to get bored. I can only say that this is simplicity done right. I would definitely recommend picking this game up.
Best roleplay ever, I get to pretend to be living back in my days that I'm not even old enough to know about but boy this game gets my bones rattling. ITS SOOO META!!!
the game is a very fun game. even if you are guaranteed to die to a hedgehog if you face it before upgrading yourself. both versions of popgoes arcade has so much content. i have already beaten it once so i am doing a new run to get the remaining achievements.
I had fun with it, the beginning of both chapters is tedious but once you start upgrading yourself it gets better
1.5/10 never played a single FNAF game or seen the movie so going in blind it isss not fun no other arcade games, just the one
game was fun for the first 2-3hours but since then it takes ages to load and every fight loading screen and end screen freezes the game for about minute.
Can be a little frustrating if you plan on 100%ing the achievements but other than that, a really enjoyable game with memorable art design and mechanics
