Salt

Abandoned in development to start Salt 2 before this game was ever finished, it's a buggy mess and not worth paying for. I also don't recommend the dev because he literally screwed us on this Early Access by promising everything that ended up in Salt 2.

Salt is a very relaxing explorer game, and one I have fond memories of playing. The visuals are by no means AAA graphics. But thanks to this, I've rarely, if never encountered any buffering issues with viewing distance, objects spawns as well as no lag nor FPS drops. It's compatible with older PCs (Windows XP or later) you can literally run this game on potato. That makes up for the art. Other benefits I find with the simplistic graphics is it makes interaction with objects, enemies spawn, as well as reading texts much easier to see and navigate. The audio and BGM adds to the ambience of the world, especially when you're sailing overseas discovering islands. On the note of islands, this open world is huge and took me over 150+ hours to finally uncover every square inch of the map. The looting, building and crafting mechanics can be comparable to Minecraft, and there are guides on how to craft stuff online. My only complaints are the torch is very weak at night, so I tend to sleep more often during that phase. Some crafting does require grinding, and when you've purged an entire island but are still lacking materials, then you have to travel to other islands that takes more time ... that can be frustrating. Playing with friends also adds to the fun and chaos, books give a lot of lore to the world, and there's always that excitement you get when uncovering a new island to explore. In short, Salt is worth buying if you want a relaxing adventure experience. And for more competitive players, there's a Hard mode too!

Typcical dev making good concepts and claims, but doesnt actualy deliver. now he wants money for salt 2 xDDD just laughable

Game was ok. Not a lot to look at or do. Just randomly wandering around hoping you live.

Was Sea of Thieves before Sea of Thieves - ultimately doesn’t live up to other similar survival titles but was a lot of fun to play

An interesting seadog adventure experience for a landlubber like myself.

It's a simple adventure game with peaceful and horror elements. Peaceful, due to the simple sea explorative atmosphere of the game. But traces of horror when on Islands at night. I'd love to see this game updated with some new things, but I can understand it's a lot to ask for the developers. Over all I love this game.
