Personally I really enjoyed the game. A lot of fun bosses and cool unique builds/characters to mess around with. It's not perfect and has some old-school souls design decisions like long run-backs and no respawning at dungeons which is annoying. the bosses aren't too hard and I'd say along the lines of Dark Souls 3 difficulty, but there's weird damage balancing like regular enemies being able to insta combo you to death, boss grab attacks one shotting you even after leveling pretty high. enemies tracking you from far distances and some other jank. I can't speak on bugs because I really didn't experience any even after 4 playthroughs and getting all achievments. I've even been playing since the 17th and have barely encountered bugs. I do wish the music was louder and more engaging. I think that is a real weak point. I had no problem with performance and only had a couple frame drops here and there and only one crash in my entire playtime. Overall. I did enjoy the game, the combat, builds, bosses, world design, and lore. i'd say it's an 7/10 which might seem like i'm saying it's mid, but I'm not. I just think there's room for improvement and it could be alot better.

Very good but there is some issues. For me the game crashes a lot, especially in transitioning screens like leaving a dungeon. Because of the way the arenas are designed (very enclosed) and the enemies very often just pushing you, you will very often be backed against a wall and the camera just will not allow you to see anything in those situation which can be frustrating. Other than that the game is pretty good but becomes a bit repetitif due to a limited amount of tools. some shells are quite far and further in the game but you will probably have invested alot in the earlier shells so you won't have much to invest in the latest shells and if you wait to get them you will feel quite weak but some will probably like this challenge. Just good to know in advance. same with the weapons you will most likely invest in 1 or 2 weapons that you like at first and you won't have resources in the later weapons. so you do feel quite "locked in" the moment you invest in something. The game looks very nice, the enemies and bosses are quite fun and the puzzles are quite varied
NOT RECOMMENDED Lacks variety in enemies, gear, and terrain. Lacks memorable points of interests. Boss fight mechanics and designs are simple and, honestly, forgettable. The best boss fight in the game is the first boss which is scripted. Artificial difficulty renders all your upgrades useless. Sidearms, aside from shotgun and crossbow, are basically useless. Upgrading Tarstones (system that augments your weapons with passive/active skills) forces you to use (and level up) and upgrade other tarstones so you can get upgrade resources for tarstones. TEDIOUS! Is it enjoyable? For the first half of the map, yes. The second half is just the first half only with higher artificial difficulty. Is this better than the first game? 200% yes. Is it better than any other souls-like in the market? No, don't waste your money buying this full price, while it looks beautiful, its too shallow.
Beginning of the game is excellent. However, as the game progresses your stats just don't matter anymore and you'll start to get one shot or juggle staggered by enemy/enemies. There is a distinct lack of iframes in some animations as well so while you're finishing an enemy you can get hit and take damage when the situation is out of your control. I want to like this game but I cannot recommend it in its current state. Will update the review if things change.
Genuinely a great game. It might be the best non-FromSoftware souls-like I’ve played. 9.5/10.
Great atmosphere, satisfying combat, a well-designed open world (even though I’m not a fan of open worlds in souls-like games), plenty of the devs’ humor, and surprisingly good optimization for an Unreal Engine 5 game. The only thing I found lacking was a proper compass, similar to what Elden Ring had. I think it would’ve made navigating the world a lot more convenient without taking away from the exploration. Overall, peak game. Must try if you are a souls fan.

Just as confused as it is fun
About 10.5 hours in and I'd say I'm maybe over halfway through the game. So far really enjoy it as it's very similar to the first one, just way more content. Only thing I will say is I feel that Tiel needs a bit of a nerf to how often you can use his invisibility as I am able to spam it constantly and trivialize most encounters and bosses. This is self inflicted but I like his playstyle so it's a me problem but imo it could use a bit of a nerf.
so far. it real gud.
