Reviews
In 2007, it was a puzzle game. Today, it is a time machine. Replaying Portal feels like visiting an old home. The sterile white walls still hum. They hold an eerie, familiar loneliness. GLaDOS’s banter hits differently now. She feels less like a villain. She feels like an old friend. A friend keeping you company in the dark. The radio music still brings a smile. The companion cube still breaks hearts. They rarely make masterpieces like this anymore. If you were there, you know. If you weren't, grab a portal gun. It is time to go home. 10/10. Still alive.
Fun puzzles with a great concept and beautiful graphics; I love brain games. Thank you.

Английская версия / English Version ➡️If you started your journey into the Aperture universe with Portal 2, the original game might leave you with pretty mixed feelings. On one hand it is a legendary title that redefined the whole puzzle genre. On the other hand, nowadays it feels more like a raw, empty, short tech demo.⬅️ ➡️Still, it is worth playing just to appreciate the details. The portal gun physics actually feel more realistic here than in the sequel because you can see the projectile fly, the portal open smoothly, and the cosmic distortions around it. Plus, it has some unique quirks like using the weight of turrets to press buttons, which unfortunately got cut from the second game. The hidden dens with Help signs, the grim lore implications behind the Companion Cube, and the radio mysteries do a perfect job of sparking your curiosity. GLaDOS's monotonous voice is the only thing that keeps you company in that creepy, lonely facility.⬅️ ➡️However, the game definitely shows its age outside the test chambers. Wandering through those empty, warehouse-like backrooms feels a bit lazy and hurts immersion after seeing the beautiful locations in the sequel. Also, if you happen to play it with the official Russian localization, it is an absolute disaster. The timing is completely broken, the voice lines mix up the protagonist's gender, and the personality cores at the end sound like an unrecognizable messy blur. Do yourself a favor and play it with the original English voice acting only.⬅️ ➡️In the end, Portal remains a historic milestone that proved puzzles could have an engaging narrative. It paved the way for a legendary sequel. Just make sure to get the right experience and play it in English.⬅️ 👉VERDICT: 7 out of 10👈 ❤️If you liked the review, please give me a community award personally on my profile page, as I don't have many, I love collecting. 🥲 Good luck with the game! And don't be scared❤️
If you've never played Portal before: please do so now. It's short, but sweet, and each little puzzle is exactly the perfect balance of engaging and leisurely. You'll probably beat this game within three to five hours, and you'll probably enjoy every minute of it. The dialogue is funny; the robots are cute; the environments are very atmospheric; the gameplay is fun and innovative… Portal is iconic for a reason! ^^
Android hell is in fact real and its the bonus chambers
I picked up Portal way back in 2010 as part of the Orange Box goodness (or whatever bundle it was in at the time), and even though my stats show I only knocked out the core story achievements (Lab Rat, Fratricide, Partygoer, and Heartbreaker), it left a massive impression. This game is pure genius in the smallest package possible. The moment you get the portal gun, everything clicks. The puzzles start simple and ramp up beautifully, teaching you mechanics without ever feeling like a tutorial. By the end, you’re solving rooms that would have seemed impossible an hour earlier. GLaDOS is one of the best video game characters ever—witty, sinister, and hilariously passive-aggressive. The cake is a lie, but the fun is very real. My playthrough was straightforward: I beat the main campaign and called it there. No advanced maps, no challenge medals, no turret-killing shenanigans or 30,000-foot falls for me. But honestly? The base game is so strong that it didn’t matter. It’s short, sweet, and replayable. The physics, the humor, the “eureka!” moments—Portal nails every single one. If you’re on the fence, just buy it. Even in 2026 this game holds up perfectly. Short enough for a weekend, memorable enough to stick with you for years. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go stare at a companion cube again.
06-09-2026 KENANIUM PRIME
In 2007, Valve created a first-person puzzler where you alter the world using portals in a fantastically neat package. It's bursting at the seams with lore and story development; and became an online cultural icon. Valve is an annoying game developer because so many of its titles become genre defining works, yet they also push the limits of what mechanics can be present in video game software. It's unfair that, while being nearly 20 years old, this game still plays incredibly. You'll become a little motion sick, but at least you'll learn why the cake is a lie!
Muito melhor do que eu me lembrava! Portal 1 é uma OBRA-PRIMA!
