About
Seamless cross-server travel enables real-time combat and exploration, offering the longest visibility range in an MMORPG. Players can access any visible location either on foot or via mounts, providing an uninterrupted and immersive gaming experience.
Forge your destiny in the player-driven fantasy world of Mortal Online 2, populated by other players who bring with them their own unique experiences and content. Whether you wish to be an artisan providing masterfully crafted arms and armor, a member of a powerful faction that occupies a region of the world, a tamer training rare and exotic beasts, a highwayman robbing others, or a noble soul seeking to protect the weak from outlaws and beasts—The story of your journey will be written through your actions, and you choose the direction of each chapter.
From the bustling cities of a once-great empire to gloomy volcanic wastelands, frigid ice-capped mountain peaks to sweltering hot jungles full of beasts stalking through the undergrowth, fog-blanketed bamboo forests to dark caverns unexplored for centuries—the world of Mortal Online 2 is huge and brimming with creatures, secrets, resources, and opportunity.
With four races and the option to mix multiple bloodlines within each race, you can forge a character perfectly tailored to your intentions. In addition to deeply customizing your character’s appearance, you can also build your character the way you’d like without the limit of being bound to classes. Invest in a large variety of impactful armor, weapons, and spells. Choose from an extensive list of unique skills and train them to master them—And if your chosen journey leads you down a new path, freely retrain your character as you see fit.
Mortal Online 2 offers you the choice to play the way you want to, whether alone or with others, with an expanding list of content to facilitate different styles of gameplay. Master numerous in-depth professions such as fishing, armor and weapon crafting, alchemy, and butchery; scour dark dungeons for rare spells to add to your collections; construct and furnish your home with a growing list of decorations; pick rare herbs to sell in far away lands for a profit; or gather together a band of like-minded adventurers into a guild and claim a castle. No matter the direction you take, your time in Nave will be unlike any other—entirely your own and always a part of its history.
Mortal Online 2 is a world full of impactful choices and consequences. With the exception of placing your items in a bank, almost everything—from armor to gathered resources—will be dropped on your death. This danger exists not only in the monsters and environmental hazards, but from other players as well. Guilds clash, duels are fought, and some may even take up the role of highwayman—all using real-time directional action combat. In a world shaped by conflict, every skirmish could spark something that changes the history of Nave forever.
The world remains large without fast travel, and if you choose to leave the well-guarded settlements and venture into the wilds—it can be dangerous. Many beings exist to be discovered, powered by a dynamic system allowing them to not always be found in the same spot. Encounter skittish deer-like springboks to gargantuan trolls that can throw fully-armored soldiers like toys. Whether you seek to collect rare items, tame a beast to fight by your side, or hunt down a rare creature, the possibilities presented by the world are many, and growing.
In Mortal Online 2, the actions of the players decide the social landscape and very gameplay environment in which you play. Whether it’s a house you happen upon in the wilderness, a guild who claim ownership over a region, a list of goods and animals available for purchase on a local auction house—Players, just like you, did all of it.

I tried. I really, truly tried. I even managed to gaslight myself into ignoring the £30 entry fee and the monthly subscription just to give this game a fair shot. It had been sitting on my wishlist for a couple of years, and after running out of other things to play, I saw they dropped the shiny new Sarducaa map and thought, "Why not? What’s the worst that could happen?" The tutorial zone was great! I was having a blast. Then I stepped foot onto the new map, and the game immediately went downhill. Turns out Sarducaa's main export isn't content—it's boredom. Quest spots were religiously camped by full-time self proclaimed "griefers" coming over naked and zapping everyone's mounts to death over and over again all day. On the rare occasion I managed to reach a quest objective without being ambiently murdered, I was greeted by ten other players instantly vaporizing the target NPCs the millisecond they spawned. And then, of course, there were the other local griefers. Delightful individuals whose sole passion in life is logging onto alt criminal characters, killing anyone who has less than three people with them twenty steps outside the starter town walls for four straight hours, waddling over to their nearby house to store the loot, and then logging in their other non criminal character to play the game.... Truly, peak gameplay. I tried joining a few guilds to find safety in numbers, but "activity" in most Discord recruiting groups seems to mean having two active players and dozens of other members who no longer join comms or play the game. With a whopping current peak of 1.5k players, (including those with multiple accounts) the game is slowly flatlining. The PvP itself isn't even about skill, it's just a game of "who brought more friends to the fight." With groups allying with multiple other groups trying to keep track of who was friendly with who, but didn't want to set standings was boggling. Aside from that, the new map is a vast, empty desert featuring a grand total of maybe ten villages\cities and a whole lot of next to nothing. The same NPC's maybe the odd fishing pond. The Verdict: Unless your dream game consists of PvP for the sake of PvP, grinding professions until your eyes bleed, and repeating the exact same 4-6 daily fetch quests from 4 different npc's..... do yourself a favour and steer clear.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. This Game Has a Great crafting system, Interesting skill leveling system, and the taming system is great. Now as for the negatives; 1. Town layout is poorly thought out, such that in some of the towns, Players can just Gank you while walking around, and completely avoid guard patrols, while doing so. This is Exacerbated by The Fact that Guards in towns don't aggro based on line of sight but, also have a pretty small aggro zone, smaller than some of the hostile NPCs by a noticeable amount. This means a player can gank you while in town, while you can see the guards clearly, and are not very far away from said guards, and they will at times just stand there and do nothing while this happens. 2. The games hostile NPC layout is also not well thought out either, With bandits and other mobs, Right at the entrance of some of the starting towns, after leaving the starting zone. This results in a situation where they attack you when you try to leave town your starting town in around 1/3 of the starting towns. Said Mobs, are much stronger than a max level player, with the best gear and tames possible out of the starting zone. Also, Yes I did grind to max level, and did grind every skill that can be obtained in the starting zone to max level too, before leaving the starting zone, Tamed a bear and trained it to the highest level possible, and I did make sure to craft the best gear that can be obtained there too, to verify this point. Also, bears from the starting zone are weaker than the weakest normal bears, by alot. This means if you start in around 1/3rd of the towns, Good luck getting started, because even leaving town is a gamble. 3. While the taming system is great, Mob lay outs are god awful, all through out the game, with them rarely making sense. So, If you want to tame a mob you need to memorize where they spawn, at around the strength you need, because mob levels are, all over the place, to put it mildly. It is as if the devs just randomly scattered mob spawns all over the place at random, and didn't really bug test on it too. What I mean by this is as follows; You can be walking down the road, and you will at random, on the road, Come across wolves, Bears, and bandits, of seemingly random variations of strength, some 4 to 5 times weaker or stronger than others of the same type, more or less having zone level be all over the place, and this can happen in the period of walking around 5 small houses in distance if they were stacked right next to each other. This means if you can take a bear, You might not be able to take a bear if you are even Slightly off from the bear spawn you are looking for, because there may be a bear spawn very close by where the bears are 5 times stronger for no Logical reason what so ever, and same goes for just about any mob. What's more Some times if you place your house on/near a mob spawn, they will randomly spawn in your house, all though that is rare, it happens. 4. Speaking of housing, All the areas are mostly taken, so you have to ride for an hour+ out of most towns to find a place to build your house. Placement is jank, so If you try to build near a river or lake, on the bank of it, It may spawn half your house in the water, with little indication that is the case until you place it. What's more, if it looks like you can place the building, due to jank placement mechanics, it might just not be place-able, for no logical reason, with no real proper feed back as to why. What's more still, Due to said jank placement mechanics, You can sometimes have your house after placement, be inaccessible due to floating stairs or something, with again little to no feed back/indication of that until you place it. Trying to replace it means you have to re-farm the blue print, and all the mats, as you can not just retrieve them once placed. With the pvp nature of this game, Good luck building even the most simple of starting homes. 5. Also, The combat system is a bit jank too, at least as far as melee goes. It is suppose to have a dynamic block system like mount and blade, But it is way more buggy and unresponsive than mount and blade. Around 1/4th of the time, your block will not be in the direction you blocked in. For me it was worse, in actual combat, but I sat around doing clear tests for around 30 mins moving the mouse one direction, in an exaggerated way, just to see if it would block in that direction. It does at most around 3/4ths of the time from what I can tell, and that's under ideal conditions. This inevitably results in most players I have seen using necromancy, tames, and ranged attacks, and nearly no one actually using melee, outside the starting zone. 6. Also, As far as I can tell, player economy, is decent, but it seems to be somewhat localized per city/town, which forces you to travel to other towns to get many items needed. Not too bad, if issue 5, and 2+3 were not so glaring. Traveling to a new area as per "Issue 2" means, you will likely have a hard time due to random mobs, that may be stupid strong just being randomly around every road, so you don't even know when you will encounter them. Due to "Issue 3" If your horse Dies due to "issue 2" Kinda hard to get a new one if you are not very familiar with the area you are in. Due to issue 5+Issue 2 Combined, Hoofing it is kinda a hard no, if you want to not die on the way to random NPCs. This is assuming players don't try to gank you. 7. Farming mats for some gear, May be hard due to the issues mentioned that makes Issue 6, an issue in the first place, Not every area has every mat/type of mat. So, Travel issues apply even for crafting. 8. The Penalties for ganking other players are nearly nothing, do around 1 quest and you can wipe any bounty you may have had, for around 2 to 3 ganks. This is assuming the other player cares enough/knows enough about the game to report your gank, if they don't, Then no penalty at all in the first place. This means ganking new players who don't yet fully understand the PvP rules, is a great way to get no penalty for ganking. Due to their being no "safe zones" due to issue 1, this results in very few new players staying long, So kind of No real influx of player base, and I can see why. -- This Review was Made after around 300 hours of playtime. I even ran a small guild for around half a year. So, I am at least somewhat versed in the game play, even if not the most experienced player. With the monthly Sub, I would very much not recommend it. I would have hesitated to recommend it even before the subscription, to anyone other than the most avid PvP Fans, because there are better/comparable offerings out there for PvP, and PvP is the only thing it really does well due largely to the issues I mentioned above.
Disclaimer: If you can't handle the concept of full loot PvP this game is not for you! If you're still here after that disclaimer, then I highly recommend this game (there is a sub, but the first month after buying the game is free). It's a modern take on some old-school MMO concepts and systems. Finding a good group to play with is highly encouraged. A lot of content in this game requires multiple people to succesfully attempt. Solo play is possible, but it will be an uphill battle and require some creativity and time-commitment. Luckily there are still plenty of guilds with active players of all sorts, small, medium, and large. Some specialize in PvP, some are empire building, some are PvE oriented, some are a mix. Some are focused on professions, trade, and transport. For me and a lot of other people, one of the things this game does best is character building. The action skill and profession skill point buy system is something I haven't seen in other games. That combined with the ability to customize your general clade and specific race (which affects your attribute maximums for things like strength, constitution, etc.) allows for a lot of flexibility in character builds. You can be an ultra specialized build or a more general hybrid of different skills. Professions are very in-depth and nuanced. Alchemy is not for the faint of heart, and there are plenty of recipes that are closely guarded. Fishing system is one of the best I've seen in a game of this kind. Weapon and armor crafting are very customizable, with lots of style and material considerations that make a difference in the finished product. The world feels big and can sometimes feel a little empty, but there are a lot of things to discover and do on the map with more being added often. Territory control provides buffs to the guild that controls the region while in the region, and if you're in a big enough group that does that sort of thing there can be some really big, fun clashes over control of a region. I don't think this game deserves the amount of negative reviews it has, but it is mixed for a reason. The developer is small and independently funded, and because of that substantial updates can feel slow coming. The full loot pvp system is unforgiving. The mob AI is goofy but learnable and exploitable. The melee system feels incredibly clunky at first, but with time its true depth is revealed. All of these things contribute to it being a somewhat niche experience, but if anything has caught your interest, give it a try! The developer is active and does an okay job of listening to the community. Game goes on sale occasionally, so if you're on the fence it might be worth a wishlist and a wait.
Game wouldnt be bad if there were servers for new players. Current players are toxic and will just ignore when asking for tips. Everyone has some type of tax or pay system to join guilds or trade. Subscription to play a game thats mogged with sweats who killed the game in the first place. Dont recommend playing.
Not worth the sub, was fun to check out with the free month. Mass exploits make the game not worth grinding out when you know your going to go up against someone with 10x the resources you have
paid sub for early access.
I can never log in, it takes 20 game restarts to login. Over 1300 hours over three accounts, RTX 5080, always login issues, never a fix. devs are useless.
This is the most amazing game I have ever played in my life. I have 2.45k hours on this account and like 4k hours total on all of my accounts. No game outside of the greatness of Asheron's Call on the Darktide server has consumed this much of my time. The game is janky and made by a small development team. If you can get over the jank and you aren't some carebear, you can have the time of your life playing this. But you have to know how to have fun. I started playing in summer 2022 when I left Haven at 2 clade and got to 10 murders on Day 1 in Fabernum Graveyard and then I became a Day 1 member of Content-Levia. I lived in the criminal city of Kranesh and I fought in over 100 large-scale battles with a guy called "Gbunny" calling the shots and I experienced tremendous success and a lot of winning. I also created a tamer called "Lilxproblem" where I committed over 1,000 murders on Fabernum-Tindrem road and I participated in something called "The ACT War" where I deployed horrific Dire Wolves to tremendous effect and I landed the most confirmed kills on the sands of Meduli. I quit for 2 years because the engine upgrade to UE5 didn't go over well for me but when I came back in June of this year, I joined a guild called Odinseed and I was named "Queen of The Seed" at an Official Rank Ceremony at Asgard Keep in July 2025 (no small thing). All but Illoros "The Mutant" bent the knee to me. In my capacity as Queen of Odinseed, I have ordered the knights of Odinseed to dismantle many of my old enemies such as "The Rat Alliance" which in the days of Content-Levia were nothing but turbo zerging cowards who were dirt under our feet. Since they had gotten a "big head" in recent years, I decided to provoke a war with them in which they were decisively defeated, had their mentals broken, and disintegrated into nothingness. Many of the recent negative reviews you see here are actually from those bozos as they cry and quit the game. The game is awesome but it is not for those with weak mentals. You can see I have had the time of my life playing it but the average gamer is going to have a rough go at it. You have to not carry anything you care about losing and you can't take PvP and losses personally but that is literally against human nature. 98% of players will unfortunately get filtered out by a game like this and won't have the fun that I have had and will continue to have. There is, however, the Sarducca continent patch to look forward to (early next year) which will be a soft wipe and will reinvigorate the game for a time. Now is the time to learn the game (if you are one of the few human beings capable of playing a hardcore, open world, full loot PvP MMO like this).
dont let the mixed reviews turn you away like it did me for a long time. Picked it up for the first time today and im lovin it.
