🎮 Morels: The Hunt 2 🎮
Es gilt: Never change a running system, doch was bedeutet das genau?

Both games are exactly my type. I love that concept and I had a lot of fun with them. However as second title, this game has zero improvements. The opposite is true - smaller maps, less items to actually use, more buggy, ... At first glance, some maps looks bigger, until you realize, that middle part is cut by some random obstacles or is otherwise unaccessible. If map is actually full and big, its absolutely empty an that space is only prolonging any search and costs you a lot of energy and unfun time. Maps are always unexplainable cut off - like with massive enlarged texture of rock floating in middle of air. This is not nitpicking of just a minor accident - really, majority of edges and cut roads or cut areas are unnaturally and unevenly cut with blurry, floating and unhidden textures. Animals and objects are rendering/de-rendering in-front of you, yet game didn't introduce any re-spawn time. Meaning that for a whole day you are stuck with first pseudo-random generation and there is nothing you can do if objects are low in count annd types ... Some areas are fully developed yet a lot of areas are just hastily unfinished and unused. So for me - instead this second title being an improvement of the first, it unnecessarily trying to reinvent the wheel and developers spent much more time with creating un-fun and large areas. While a single lake of first game had much more animals, objects and things to do/see, here even a whole ocean is small and empty in comparison. There are too many similar "open world" games with this type of problems. It would be acceptable if this game would use some old engine which would had all those problems - if developers would use their time in making the real content of this game - more animals, more objects, more RPG progress, ... Instead it is as always - just boost of numbers, boost of size, however no additional value and no reward for playing. Very simple comparison is cave map - instead it being full of shortcuts, fun dead ends and interesting scenery, it is linear long boring tour without any free movement or reason to explore. Sadly this second title is cutting rewards in half. The idea is very nice - however that is inherited from the first title. There are a new animals and objects, however content is visibly smaller - worlds are full of unfinished parts and ideas. All maps are linear without any connection between edges - with very few exception. For me - I would expect real caves in those rocky areas and cave map - more layered caves with entrances and exits completing each others - jump points etc. - something, that would make you wonder and seek for animals and objects. The reality is however just an another pseudo generated world with two paths and majority of empty land without purpose ... Some possible shortcuts and jump-poins are even unnecessarily closed - just to make you travel the same path back ... Rivers are empty, lakes have smooth surface without any grass or other stuff ...
After the successful “Morels: The Hunt” mushroom-picking simulator, comes the second game which is… practically more of the same, with a few innovations. Again you get to wade through various biotopes, ranging from deep forests through flowering meadows to more exotic locations like tropical jungle or islands in the middle of an ocean, collect morels and other types of mushrooms, experience diverse weather, cope with various hazards (catch a tick or two, get burned by poison ivy, or bitten by a snake), meet and photograph various animals, or flee from the more dangerous ones (after you’ve photographed them too, of course). Gaming principle is the same: collect morels for points, for which you unlock more locations and buy goodies to help you in your hunt (couple new items, like shader glasses, are especially useful). Graphics look pretty good, making some of the locations real eye-candy; animal models are better than in the first game, and have better AI too (at least they don’t get stuck in boulders). Music now features an original soundtrack, with really nice and melodious acoustic tracks that add a lot to the relaxing atmosphere. The final verdict is, if you have played and enjoyed the first Morels game, get this one for sure, it’s (slightly) bigger and better and the same amout of fun at least; if you haven’t played the first game, but enjoy relaxing lite-survival exploration games, get both in a bundle for double the fun. You won’t regret it.
Overall a decent improvement over the original Morels game in terms of map design atmosphere and even balance. With out of this world (Morels 3) coming soonish that is shaping up to be a great 3rd entry in the trilogy/series easy recommend.
И за время стрима 1 раз вылетела. https://youtu.be/1uuDMdkVub4 I received a free review copy of this product from keymailer.co
I've been a fan of the first game and have played that several times all the way through the seasons. This version is very similar with more newer and so far from what I have experienced larger maps. You still get interesting animals to find, mystery ones, hidden items and all sorts of things to do other than finding mushrooms. The game takes much after the first, so there isn't really any new learning curve at all, other than a few differences with equipment, so it's easy to pick up and play without needing to learn anything new. One of the best parts is the interaction of the developer. From the first game to this. They are active on the forums and also have helped me in the past restore a corrupted game file via email. So it's great to see someone that cares about their game and the people who are playing it. Who knows, maybe you can get a cool new idea added to a future update. Either way, the interaction is great. I'm a late comer to the game as I needed to wait until I had my new PC as the older game for some reason started giving me temperature spikes that would shut down my computer. So now that I have my new system, I'm finally able to try this new version out and I really like it as I did with the first...
you can finding mushroom and take pictures of animals at the same times. but you need to focus and have more patient when you finding mushroom because its very tricky you cant see mushroom when you running, you need walking but you need to go before you exhausted, and dont forget about medkit, energy bar, water, and some upgrades.
The true Mushroom Kingdom Everything that was great about Morels with more mushrooms (good) and higher visual diversity, but fewer maps. Nice if you want more Morels, but this is a rare case where the first game is a better entry point with equally good graphics. Edit: Okay, Morels 2 let's you drive a golf cart, that is another BIG plus.
