About
Fusing the methodical decision-making of turn-based strategy with the tactical urgency of an RTS, Mordfield Command puts every turn at the center of humanity’s survival.
Humanity stands overrun and overruled by an algorithm that has seized control of Earth. From a fragile stronghold, contested resources must be reclaimed and territory secured against an enemy that begins with every advantage. Each decision shapes the momentum of a conflict that will not yield.
Success depends on smart expansion, efficient build orders, and well-timed offensives. The objective is clear: reclaim control or be erased.

Relentless attacks accompany every advance, and the enemy grows stronger with each passing day. Expansion is more than growth; reclaiming resources weakens the enemy while strengthening your position.
Move too slowly and enemy reinforcements will outpace your progress.

Resources are scarce, and every piece of scrap is contested.
Dedicated structures generate additional action points at a power cost, giving you room to reinforce a position or press an attack when it matters. As the war escalates, new technologies unlock stronger defenses and countermeasures.
Target enemy outposts to disrupt reinforcements before you're overwhelmed.

The war does not slow down, and neither can you.

Optional Timed Rounds — Keep the pressure on by enabling an optional 15 or 30 second turn timer.
Action Point Economy — Allocate action points at the expense of resources to maximize your tactical options each turn.
Expansive Technology Tree — Unlock new unit abilities, tactical tools, and economic upgrades as you progress through multiple tiers of research.
Custom Map Editor — Create your own battlefields and unique missions with an in-game map editor. Share your creations with the community and test different strategies on other player made creations.
PvP/Multiplayer — Challenge friends in tactical 1v1 combat. Play custom maps, change turn length, and assert your dominance in head-to-head gameplay. Play using in-game procedural generated battlefields or custom player-made ones.
Procedural Map Generation — Each play unfolds on a unique battlefield, keeping games fresh and unpredictable.
Evolving Terrain — Battlefields respond to combat and become damaged over time. Damaged areas become harder to traverse and modify offensive and defense bonuses, forcing players to adapt there strategy at every turn.
Combat Unit Experience — Meaty units grow stronger over time, earning experience on the battlefield. Deploying and maneuvering squads carefully allows players to create groups of elite fighters.
Replayability — An expanding technology tree, diverse units, varied terrain, and multiple resources—powered by procedural map generation—ensure no two runs play the same.

As a developer of this game, I've sunk so (so) many hours playing this game over the past 3 years. It's hasn't gotten old to me, and even today I'm still trying new strategies (when was the last time you sacrificed your scout drone!!?). I really enjoy coming up with new build orders and unit compositions, and my games stay dynamic responding to enemy unit compositions and the procedural map variations. Meatbag only runs, rushing science, going for nukes, machines-only, so many ways to play. I really hope to share even half as much fun as I had making this game with you.
This games fun. I've been playing the campaign and it actually makes you think and try different strategies. The art style's really unique and there's a bunch of different game modes to check out. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes turn based strategy games.
So far it feels quite a bit deeper than I expected, gameplay wise. Tries new things while still feeling 4X. Only gripe so far is that the UI is a little spartan. Buttons could stand to be juiced, and they inconsistently make hovering sounds, and speaking of hovering it would be nice to highlight units for example when hovering in the game map -- starting out it wasn't always clear what I had selected at any given time, though you get used to it pretty quickly. Will try to get more time and update my thoughts as I play. So far it's enough to recommend!
Mordfield Command offers a great deal of challenge and complexity making it easy to sink hours into a single fight against the AI Algorithm Alpha. Taking a unique and refreshing approach to 4X Strategy games by adding in wave defense mechanics, your build order very well maybe the difference between humanity's triumph or the last of us being turned into a smoldering pile of ash. I look forward to what else this game will have to offer in the future and highly recommend giving the demo a try to find out if it's the game for you.
So far I've put a couple of hours into playing it and I've had a great experience! Fun and challenging game. Will definitely be playing more of it! Would recommend giving it a go!
Good strategy game to tinker with. Messing around with different build orders and army composition is pretty entertaining, as are the achievements. It mostly plays like a turn based rts mixed with a wave defense game.
I'm one of the primary playtesters for this game. Safe to say I really like it. This is really the only turn based game that I play, but I do rather enjoy it! Even after countless hours of playtesting. I come from an RTS background when it comes to strategy games. I really enjoy trying different build comps out without having to worry about my actions per w.e staying high enough. Challenging but with plenty of time to stress over what strategy and moves to try out next.
Impressions of the early build are good. Will revisit when I'm able to see the recent updates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlL2jTyVnqY
The Good: Not bad for the price. I like the way the individual units congregate to from an army. I am still not sure if I can heal my units by standing still or if I have to spend resources to heal 15% each time. Look forward to an encyclopedia.
