For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. The game takes place on Mican, a world turned upside down long ago by an event called "The Amalgam Anomaly" which birthed hundreds if not thousands of different types of monsters, creatures, half-breed amalgams and other nightmares into the world. The game has you create a party to venture into a mountain at the heart of Spiny Island to discover what the monsters in the caves are up to... and discover other mysterious secrets about the world in the process!

Every element of the UI has been updated and improved, both in functionality and style!
All buttons, backgrounds, fonts, item icons, ability icons, descriptions, boxes, borders, layouts... everything! Inventory items and equipment have been significantly upgraded!

Freezing the sea within the Kraken's lair will now reveal a new, icy cave in Albright Outpost, an entrance to a new dungeon- the Ancient Snowdrift!

Brave the freezing cold temperatures and you'll find a Sigil Keeper- one of four new optional bosses hidden throughout the world. Defeating them will grant you unique brand new abilities and passive powers! Try and find all four!

Something is stirring deep beneath the ground.
A new pathway has opened up in the Unending Tower, leading to a brand new area known as the Mineral Realm! Learn about ancient Micani, fight tricky crystal monsters, avoid traps, solve puzzles and find your way through a nested maze to confront an old familiar name about the sins of his past, and what devastation the future may bring.
Monsters of Mican: Crystal Edition brings forward this brand new post-game story with multiple dungeons, bosses, and an ending that lets you once again choose how the fate of all of reality is decided.
Other Features:
The Warren- a new dungeon accessible just outside of Alright Outpost, "hidden" by a not-so-inconspicuous bush. Brave the deadly traps hidden by the Thieves Guild to earn yourself honorary membership, or perhaps instead help a darker force...
Frank's Racetrack- what's cooler than a talking hot dog? A talking hot dog with sunglasses! What's cooler than a talking hot dog with sunglasses? A talking hot dog with sunglasses riding a skateboard! Race against Frankfurter The Fast in one of three difficulty levels to earn unique prizes and stat boosts that are all about speed and agility! Find the racetrack outside of the cafeteria in the Unearthed Halls Level 2!
Fishing- Pick up the fishing rod lying around against a rock on the beach and get casting in any body of water, sewage or even lava! A new NPC named Herman the Crab Hermit will give you a quest to find all 12 types of fish in the world, but be warned that fishing too much in one spot can draw the attention of fearsome sea beasts....
Nearly 40 new monsters! From Gemignite to Carewolf to Challahback, enemy variety has never been better! Now there are nearly 300 monster types to fight, befriend, and chat with! And with 4 different Monster Buddy interactions for each monster that's... A lot of dialogue!
See the detailed event post for the rest of the changes!

The Vitreous Expansion introduced three huge new dungeons:
Spinewood Forest- home to the Fairy Queen Bryxialla, this dungeon teems with traps and creatures that want nothing more than to put you in the ground to fertilize the soil. Beware the many illusions and foggy spots in the forest, lest you lose your way...
The Pipeline- brave the stench as you trudge through toxic muck to receive the unique bounty offered by the denizens of the sewer. Prepare to go for a swim as you fight the mighty Dungen Master and proceed to Lord Muffin's lair...
The Butlery- a magically interconnected space meant for storing and processing food served to all inns throughout the world who belong to the Tavern Association. The inner workings of the Butlery though are not for the faint of heart, as you must brave four unique and discrete zones before gaining access to the most prized innkeeper's items within the Vault.

Reviews
As many have said, this game is the closest thing to a Might and Magic 5-9 game that I have been able to find on Steam, complete with paying a trainer to level up, tiered skills, and free movement in a handcrafted world. The game provides a great zero to hero feeling as earlier fights can be brutal with leveling/equipment having a profound effect on your group's success. The game gives you a ton of freedom with how you build your group and characters and avoids making unwinnable scenarios by offering a "repopulate dungeon for 1,000 gold statue" that allows some grinding. The tone of the game is incredibly silly with pun based names and creature designs that put the Dragon Quest series to shame. The sound effects are bare bones to the point of enhancing the experience (I love the fact that someone says swish for some attacks and monsters can sound like the Suburban Sasquatch) and work wonderfully with the atmosphere the creator has built. The controls can be a bit obtuse, but the charm of the game quickly overshadows any issues (besides the platforming on the Hotdog race minigame). The developer is incredibly responsive to issues with small bugs being reported and fixed within the next patch. This sort of game is exactly what I was hoping to find when I googled "Games like Might and Magic 7"

I played through this about a month ago along with the dlc but forgot to leave a review. It's a solid dungeon crawler that even though on the surface looks silly and almost like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game, it is very well designed and is incredibly deep with its mechanics. This literally feels like one of those weird games you'd download on a website like tucows or softonic back in like 2001 or 2002 that looks absurd but is insanely deep. Would highly recommend if you are into games like that
Welcome home, Might and Magic VI fans (and wizardry 8 enjoyers)! I don't usually review games until I've completed all its content offerings, but the Developer replied so fast to my problem that that alone is worth huge merit. A clear love letter to the original Might and Magic first person party-based dungeon crawlers series; from the endearing aesthetics, to the mechanics, and to the amount of hacking and slashing you'll be doing as you venture deep into dungeons floors. While the aesthetics may put people off, I don't personally mind it and find some of the enemy names/design quite funny. Sound effects are also on the same realm of amusing where they are very evidently self-made, I do think it adds to the overall experience. Gameplay-wise, it is very much old-school might and magic but without the option of going real-time. Do not worry though, it won't be as glacial as Wizardry 8 since the game includes a combat speed option. Dungeon exploration is much more similar to older Wizardry entries, where you (mostly) have one big dungeon to explore, map out, and puzzles/riddles to solve. Character progression is very satisfying too.
"Mom, look at this 3D baguette with a hat." "Maximillian, could you be a bit normal, for puck sakes ???" And so, Monsters of Mican was born.
Played an earlier version of this game on Epic Games Store and put 15 hours into it. It had some quirks and overall was a very silly experience. This really is the product of a single human being. Why else create a blobber in this day and age if not for the love of the game™ After I finished Monsters of Mican, I played Might and Magic 9 and that game is dog water.
There's a lot of passion on display with this game, and I found the retro PC game aesthetics to be quite charming. I did find it very busy though, and often times couldn't fully understand all the information the game was providing me with. FULL VIDEO - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNl1BmcV__Q

Summer Lanara

Vinkula

Urn

Phase Door
Monsters of Mican is what you get when you take the gameplay and character building of Might and Magic 6-7, marinade it in Diablo-like loot gathering and then drown it in an ocean of endaringly silly humour with exceptionally mismatched graphics and music. The resulting game looks like a joke. And it is - pretty much every monster is based on a stupid pun: a flying sandwich with magical abilities is called a Sandwitch. A brigand with a porcine face is called a Pigand. Many a time you will roll your eyes at the stupidity of the puns. Of particular note are the sound effects. Most are spoken word. Meaning that when you swing a sword, the sound it makes is the developer shouting SWISH, throw a fireball he yells FROOOSH! It is absolutely and astoundingly silly. And I love it. Despite all of this, the game is shockingly good, even for a very old-school RPG player such as myself. The monsters may be silly, but there is a completely crazy number of different enemy types, each with different abilities ranging from attacks to buffs, heals and debuffs, with many encounters requiring much preparation and strategy to beat. Character building is also very enjoyable. Unlike the older MM titles, loot is mostly randomised and equipment can spawn with different properties, allowing you to bring a highly diverse crew into the dungeon. Leveling up is fast and enjoyable as well, making improving your party feel very rewarding. I highly recommend Monsters of Mican for fans of the old-school Might and Magic games, although you may need a somewhat silly sense of humour to get the most out of it.
Great game! I have had this game in my library for some time and I finally decided to give it a chance and I am happy that I did. Spell books are great with a diverse spread of functions.. cool skills.. and pretty fun classes to get to know. Controls are fun and easy to use.. I am playing mouse+keyboard but want to try gamepad sooner or later. I am a big might and magic fan.. 1-10, love em all. I am having a blast playing Monsters of Mican! Gameplay is so smooth...
This is a fun indie game to play. The setting and characters are nice. Great job at making this game Blankitt Productions LLC!!!!
