A wonderful adventure in the style of The Bard's Tale, with turn-based combat and grid-based movement. Yes, now it’s hard and inconvenient to play like this, but the adventure is worth it. Dragons, treasures, and a big mystery await you in the depths of the desert. ✔️Recommended to all fans of old school. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MucpOXgZCM4
And don't forget to Subscribe to my Youtube

Join my Steam Group
I wanted to write a review because there are no reviews. This game is designed with me as a player in mind. I love blobbing. But this is pretty bare bones. Resolution choices go up to 1080p which is not ideal. So i have to play in windowed mode. Full screen makes a large part of the screen unable to be viewed. No explanations on stats on mouse hover over. Combat speed doesn't seem like it can be sped up. So you enter the commands and wait as the game reads them slowly back to you. World in all honesty looks rough. No formation for the characters/ front line back line. Why is my character yelling "OW" when he kills something? odd choice. Hoping it gets expanded upon and improved. Thumbs up for blobbing action but i probably will not play it further until some significant improvements.
前作 Into The Infernoクリア済み。 https://tekikoku.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-200.html
Gather ye faithful of the sword and sorcery, after we descend "Into the Inferno", we must go "Crossing the Sands" before "Navigating the Labyrinth!" Crossing the Sands is the 2nd game in the dungeon-diving trilogy developed by Dragon Dropper, with the 3rd installment "Navigating the Labyrinth" due in 2025. What you see in the video and screenshots on the store page is what you get here. Classic, no-frills, grid-based exploration of a foreign land filled with dozens of interesting monsters, ruffians, and wild animals standing in your way of the adventure. Just to note, I have been a kickstarter backer for both of DD's games, along with the 3rd in development as stated earlier. The games have steadily gotten better. When "Inferno" was released, it truly was bare bones. After release, a number of updates were added to give the game some much needed quality of life features (such as an exit spell taking you out of dungeons, and better item descriptions). Two big differences between "Inferno" and "Crossing" is that now you get to form a party of 6 adventurers, all with portraits. There are a LOT of portraits to choose from, and they all look great to my eyes. The character screens show a lot more useful information now, and gold is now pooled instead of separated between characters. It makes the experience of visiting shops/healers much more efficient. The graphics overall seem to be a bit sharper. The music is also quite a bit more varied, and some of the pieces are really excellent so far (See: the Grand City for example). These sort of games I end up turning off the music after I've heard everything that is there, but at least here the music changes enough to not get too repetitive. I've sunk over 4 hours during my first day of play, and (mostly) everything has been smooth sailing. The gameplay is very typical of your Wizardry/Bard's Tale like adventures. Stay close to the starting town until you level up a bit, then venture out further to see what's next. If you go too far you will surely get wiped out. This is a game of patience! Only issue I've run into so far is the quest log is bugged, it is showing the same quest repeated sometimes three times. I have no doubt after mentioning this to the developer that he'll look into it. Jason (Dragon Dropper) is a very receptive developer and does his best to put in player requests. He truly cares about his games and people's experience playing them! If you aren't sure about shelling out the requested $14.99 for the game, there is a free demo to try. I would recommend most people try the demo first, as this game may be too old school for newer players. But if you've been playing the aforementioned classics like Wizardry and Bard's Tale, you surely will enjoy what's on tap here. Dragon Dropper's games are consistently getting better as time goes on, I'm looking forward to finishing "Crossing" and eagerly awaiting the third game in the trilogy next year. I have no doubt it'll be DD's magnum opus!
Think early Wizardey, Might and Magic, Bard's Tale. A phase based dungeon crawler, with old school challenge, an austere but chatming presentation. It is also an ongoing effort by the author, who constantly improves his new and already released games, each iteration making them better.
Being built on the same design as Into the Inferno, much of what I wrote there still applies here, with the main difference being the scope of the adventure. There's a significantly larger outdoor world this time, with more interesting and varied quest writing and a much smoother early-game experience. There are also multiple small dungeons to explore this time, instead of one ridiculously deep one, which alleviates the tedium of the first game's second half. However, the overall scenario isn't any longer or denser, so the world has a bit of an empty feel to it. It also seems that there aren't as many special encounters with unique loot this time, and they're far between. Loot in general is a weak point here; the great majority of what you'll find is either cursed and worthless, or just very unimpressive (+2% cold resistance). This is a bit of a drag, but overall this game is still a solid dungeon crawler for traditional genre fans. There are still quite a few bugs in the game, including a very annoying one with shops, but these are mostly minor glitches that didn't prevent me from moving forward.
If you liked Bards Tale and the old Might and Magic games, you want this. Like Bards Tale, you struggle for gold and gear at the beginning - it's best to wander around the first area to get a level or two before adventuring out to find the Grand City. I felt the game was well balanced for the most part. Some fights in the last area wiped my party, so save often. My one complaint of this game over "Into the Inferno" is the previous game seemed to have a boss fight in every area that got you some unique gear and that rarely happened in this one. I felt it rewarded you for exploring. Still, I had fun with it and will be buying the next installment when it comes out.

A must buy if not for you then for the pizza you never bought your dog or cat or for the seed you never fed those always starving wild birds.
