Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews

The game was fun when I played it at release. I came back to it August 2026. Since then they have apparently added more free content, which you think would be great, but it feels extremely overtuned when I now lose even covenant 1 (usually on stryx and hollow, but some of the other new things have also wrecked me on some runs) almost every time when before I would finish a run 9 out of 10 times, and I could run up to covenant 5 without too much stress. I'm all for having increasing challenge that you can add via optional covenant ranks with the expectation you need to perfectly tune your deck, but the entry point should be winnable a good portion of the time making whatever you encounter work rather than relying on a certain exact set of cards so long as you understand the base mechanics. It ruins the fun when I just want to do a casual run and have a good chance of being able to use whatever RNG has blessed my deck with. Honestly very sad because I loved the first Monster Train and also how Monster Train 2 felt originally (aside from titans, but you don't have to attempt them if you do not want to and could still "win" a run).
