The game is quite good for in-between times, especially if you like to experiment a bit without being punished straight away. The idea of ​​a roguelike deck builder combined with elements of an action RPG is fun, and the different heroes and card combos offer a lot of variety. But a little tip: don't play on 'easy', otherwise you'll quickly lose interest because the game becomes too shallow. I really hope that the developers add more challenges - it's still in early access, so there's room for further development. The various status effects and card cycles in particular could be used more creatively in the future to create long-term excitement. Дуже непогана гра від українських розробників. Дуже сподобався стиль мальовки персонажів. Але я не дуже полюбляю ігри де постійне прокачування героїв з нуля (хоча є винятки) Багато про гру написати не можу. бо грав дуже мало. А взагалі рекомендую гру для ознайомлення і підтримки розробників.

Вже дуже приємна і атмосферна гра, не дилячись на те, що проект на стадії демо-версії. Не часто граю у карткові ігри, але Forestygian сподобалась: різноманітні герої з унікальними вміннями, багато видів ворогів з власними особливостями та широкий вибір карт - все це робить кожну партію не схожою на іншу. У гри непоганий баланс і рівні складності дійсно відчуваються по-різному: на легкому, при грамотному використанню карт, бій можна пройти ледь не за один раунд не отримуючи опору від супротивників. На складних доводиться частенько користуватись кнопкою "відмінити" і перераховувати свої ходи. При чому і типи ворогів, і їх кількість на бій різняються залежно від рівня складності. Візуальний стиль гри простий, але зроблено зі смаком (не забуваємо що це інді-проект). Музичний супровід підібраний вдало і підкреслює фентезійність гри. Вердикт: гра точно заслуговує уваги любителів карткових рогаликів, але буде цікавою якщо ви просто любите головоломки. Це та гра, що змушє обдумувати кожен крок і карає за помилку, але якщо ви шукаєте виклику, то Forestygian вас не розчарує. P.S. Гра має багато локалізацій і окрема подяка за наявність української!

I bought the game after seeing a few videos of YouTube. The game is awesome and deserves more attention. So I'm writing this review in order to help the developer!

A very interesting mix of familiar art and vibes with surprisingly simple, but deep mechanics

Playthrough to hell mode here(once it publishes): https://youtu.be/ZZTm96jrD-M This is a really fun/unique deck builder I'm not sure I've ever played a card battler like it before where your character has his own default abilities and all power ups come from cards that you choose instead of relics/out of card power ups. The game is quite challenging as well because anytime you take a new card you remove one of your default cards so if you're not careful you can imbalance your deck and get wiped really quickly. I do wish there was achievements or a leaderboard since there's a score system, but it doesn't seem to amount to much that I noticed. The classes are all unique, but Barbarian was goated so I tried the other classes, but didn't commit to them since they seemed harder to play and there's no achievements for doing it. Definitely recommend for the price if you like card battlers.
