Seriously one of, if not THE, best game I have ever played. I have gotten this game for so many people at this point. I recommend it so much. It does have it's issues, multiplayer struggles during the story as every player has to enter a quest, watch the cutscene, leave the quest, and then join again to actually play together. Does not help that cutscenes are unskippable. Other than that, if you can put the effort in to read and understand the game's admittedly poorly-explained systems, you'll have a great time. Every weapon is viable, and there's enough content to keep you entertained for hundreds of hours, even with just the base game. The DLC adds double the game and is very much worth it, though be ready for a big difficulty spike, as all your base game gear gets invalidated, yes, even if it has that skill you like oh so much.

This is my first MH, And loved the fights and weapons. But it's too long man....
Ce jeu n'a pas voler mon âme, je lui ai donné de bon coeur
This game doesn't have a good story or compelling characters, but what it does have is really good gameplay that gets better the more time you put into it. It has tons of gigantic monsters with distinct designs (Ensuring that one or two will be your favorite) that are all capable of beating you up if you're careless but all of them, no matter how strong or intimidating, can be brought down to your level through different strategies ranging from making your own traps to using the environment to your advantage in various ways. Apart from the monsters, the other thing that distinguishes the gameplay from other games is the sheer selection of weapons you can use. They can range from standard weapons (Sword and Shield, Lance, Katana, Hammer) to the fantastical (A giant axe that turns into a giant sword, a Sword and Shield that combines into a chainsaw axe, a gunlance) but all of them with different mechanics that change how the game plays, so if you buy the game be sure to try out all the weapons to find your favorite. I don't know how to segue into the other positive aspects so I'll just lay them out down here: The maps that you explore are incredibly beautiful and well made, it is full of supplies to use, hazards to use against monsters, and shortcuts to navigate the map as smoothly as possible. The music can go from calm and relaxing to frantic and desperate skillfully and the sound design is great for both weapons and the monsters leading to both of them feeling impactful and weighty. Monster Hunter World is a finished game, so all event missions are freely available, which includes collab missions with other franchises like Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy XIV, and The Witcher 3 which give weapons, hunter skins and in two cases, new monsters to fight. If I were to give this game a negative (apart from the story and characters), is that local multiplayer with friends is annoying because all of them have to start the quest, watch a cutscene, and then you all can enter the same quest together which is a pain. Another complain is that the game doesn't really tell you when you are entering the missions with the most difficult monsters, so someone that has finished the relatively easy main story will get into fights that require a ton of preparation with fast monsters that can kill you in two moves. And finally, this game is a commitment, as you can easily spend 200 hours in this game and then buy the other games which are also time commitments in the same way as this one. If this review convinces you to buy it, get the Iceborne Master Edition which gives the OG game and the DLC expansion.
aryan i bought the game
Great combat and really addicting play pattern. Not being able to skip some cutscenes was annoying though.
