The game's storyline puts you in the shoes of Asur, a young farm boy who has aspired to be a Monster Tamer his whole life, just like his big brother. When his family is put in mortal danger, he must act to set things right, and change the Crown Nation forever.
Be sure to build yourself a powerful team of mighty companions. Turns out, Asur won't have much luck going it alone!
Certain Monsters also transform when exposed to certain elements. Be sure to try strange new items on your favorite Monsters — you never know what's going to happen!
With so many monsters, obtaining them all, their crossbreeds and their transformations (and the transformation's crossbreeds) is quite an undertaking, only serious collectors should attempt this!
Along the way, you'll explore towns packed with interesting characters. Another way Monster Crown: Sin Eater elevates the standard tropes is with branching dialogue and decisions that have a real impact on the game.
You'll travel the world and encounter Monsters roaming the wilds. Each one has a personality; some will flee from you, some will give chase, some — the more sinister Monsters — will stalk you from the shadows.

What a great improvement from the first installment 10/10
I really like it, way more than I thought I would. I think the first one was essentially his prototype and this game is the [b]true Monster Crown experience[/b], the artstyle is amazing, the fusion system, I didn't find as engaging as other people did, but the cool-ass designs of the creatures you can fuse makes it much more fun, unfortunately due to poor balancing it gets super easy super fast even on the highest difficulty and makes the rest of the game boring. The combat is still dull, and there's a severe lack of variety in the moves creatures can use. I also found the dialogue a little too [i]"edgy"[/i] and it lost my interest fast.
Great improvement over the first Monster Crown. The fusion/breeding system allows for so much creativity and expression in team building, that it's easy to get sucked into spending hours in the lab, trying to create the strongest/coolest-looking team possible. My only complaint is that the open world makes for a very uneven difficulty curve. That aside, definitely one of the best monster taming games this year.
Fantastic game, I loved the first one when it dropped years ago. This is that but much.. MUCH better. The story is actually intriguing and the characters are well done. Sprites for monsters out of the thousand+ look great aside from a few I've seen but probably personal tastes. The fusion system is fantastic and the genome editing is great for maxing the potential of your monsters and finding the right setup for your team! I would love more repeatable content and potentially dynamic post game level cap boosts/ways to surpass it for even bigger numbers and more grinding! This game has been absolutely fantastic in my experience so far just want more repeatable content and more things to grind for as mentioned above! I recommend this 110% to anyone who loves creature collectors and wants a great story and visuals to pair with it!
I had an absolute Blast with this game! Worth every penny, you get such a big map and story for the price and sooooo many monsters! It really puts in to perspective the costs of a game like Pokemon compared to indie games that are doing Monster collection in unique ways as someone new to PC gaming I’m really happy I found this game.
Leaving a review now, fully intend to 100% this game and report back once it finishes it's update lifecycle, so going to keep this short. Absolutely phenomenal game, absolutely phenomenal artwork, absolutely phenomenal game systems. This is easily game of the year for me. If you enjoy jrpgs, monster tamers, and or retro feeling games; this is easily a masterclass in all 3 of these categories. Without a true endgame, its hard to give this game a true 10/10, but its damn close! Will be adjusting this review once they fully update the game and include more detailed explanations on why I think what I think, because honestly, these devs deserve it.
Excellent monster tamer! Pretty much every aspect of the first game has been improved. Well worth the money, can't wait to see what this team comes up with next!
