The game's storyline puts you in the shoes of Asur, a young farm boy who has aspired to be a Monster Tamer his whole life, just like his big brother. When his family is put in mortal danger, he must act to set things right, and change the Crown Nation forever.
Be sure to build yourself a powerful team of mighty companions. Turns out, Asur won't have much luck going it alone!
Certain Monsters also transform when exposed to certain elements. Be sure to try strange new items on your favorite Monsters — you never know what's going to happen!
With so many monsters, obtaining them all, their crossbreeds and their transformations (and the transformation's crossbreeds) is quite an undertaking, only serious collectors should attempt this!
Along the way, you'll explore towns packed with interesting characters. Another way Monster Crown: Sin Eater elevates the standard tropes is with branching dialogue and decisions that have a real impact on the game.
You'll travel the world and encounter Monsters roaming the wilds. Each one has a personality; some will flee from you, some will give chase, some — the more sinister Monsters — will stalk you from the shadows.

Games like this are made for the Steam Deck! It’s Fantastic! If you played the first game then this is a must buy. The pixel graphics are so good it blew me away when I played the demo months ago. The monster follows you while walking around the world, and you can ride on it if it’s big enough. Every monster has its own sprite. It’s just amazing. And the monster designs are excellent. Breeding, fusing and even evolving with items. The game has lots of content.
The bosses are dmg sponges and feel awful to fight

Such an amazing game. A nostalgic look and feel, deep customization of your monsters, engaging storyline and a very fun gameplay loop. worth playing and replaying.
I grind too much at the start...... by the time I decided to face the main quest, I one-punched my way through lol.

Tons of monsters, great fusion system, only thing id want is more depth for the skills/moves but im just being picky. Awesome game.
I really like it, way more than I thought I would. I think the first one was essentially his prototype and this game is the [b]true Monster Crown experience[/b], the artstyle is amazing, the fusion system, I didn't find as engaging as other people did, but the cool-ass designs of the creatures you can fuse makes it much more fun, unfortunately due to poor balancing it gets super easy super fast even on the highest difficulty and makes the rest of the game boring. The combat is still dull, and there's a severe lack of variety in the moves creatures can use. I also found the dialogue a little too [i]"edgy"[/i] and it lost my interest fast.
