Mondly: Learn Languages in VR

Had a lot of potential but looks like a scrapped project... you barely get to learn anything using this... Thai language sounds like it was made using Google Translate... Definitely not recommending this...

I do not have very much time on this game. But i would NOT recommend. This game could have great potential to give a valuable learning experience. But the game is very laggy and glitchy. There is also just not a lot of room for experimenting with other phrases/responses. I would not recommend at the moment with my very little play time and maybe not right now overall. (I am playing the Japanese option. May be better with other languages) PROS: -Good Voice-overs -Good Microphone reading (AI can understand words very easy) -Runs smooth on minimal graphics -Pretty Cheap CONS: -Lots of room for improvement in AI feedback and response -Glitchy Pronunciation Assistance -Tracking is very bad (Height Calibration and Hand Tracking) -Needs for response options -No Keyboard/Mouse Option (Not a problem for me) -Avatar Options for Multiplayer are very limited. Hope this helps anyone who is considering the game. I feel this game has great potential but needs a little bit of work.

Не рекомендую. Версия для стим вообще ни о чем, с небольшим словарным запасом и десятком упражнений. В версии программы, которая продается в магазине для Окулус в ней есть хотя бы ежедневные задания, что позволит и словарный запас расширять и тренироваться, да и тот же словарь там намного больше, есть и на грамматику упражнения.

I am so glad I bought this. I have a windows mixed reality VR set, specifically the Explorer. RX480 GC. The price on this game really is a steal. If it doesnt work for you, steam has a 2 hour of use within two week return policy. At the asking price, honestly its so much more than what so many other developers ask for for so much less. The developer also made my phone app, which in the past I had a problem with my license and they fixed it quickly. For this reason I was curious about picking up this application and I am so very glad I did. For what it is, this is brilliant. Opens up a whole new realm of applications which should be developed. If you are interested in learning a language, use other platforms, and have a VR headset complete set with hand things, this is a pretty cool experience and way to learn some new words phrases and feel almost like you are overseas immersed in the culture..

You will not learn language with this app: If you play it enough, you will remember some things you can say. But it does not teach you the languages. This is a very cheap and poorly executed version of language learning software. The dialogue options are quite limited. And you don't even learn basic things like alphabet, numbering, and vocabulary and phrasing structure. It's basically, say this or say that. But with no explanation as to why? Obviously some things you will start to grasp as the same words will be used. However, this is NOT the way to learn a language. It can be useful only for practicing how to say things. Even that is cheap because it does not rate how you speak, only that you pass or fail. On the tech side of things: This app runs poorly and looks even worse. The AI looks okay but everything else is pretty bad and out of scale. Every time you enter a new scene it resets your position. And many times when conversing the AI will have responses with either a robotic voice, or a different recorded voice. Two player is an option, but good luck finding anyone who is playing at the same time. Yes, it's that bad. No one is playing this. Recommendation: Save your money or buy this only when it dips below $5. Basically there's just not enough meat on the bones. This software is very minimal and not a language learning tool at all. The developer could really improve this even by having the simple function of translating what we say in our languages to the language of choice. That way we could create our own conversations and learn to speak how we personally speak, saying the things we would naturally say. I really can't believe there is no built in language converter? Really?

Genel olarak günlük basit konuşmaları öğreten güzel bir uygulama. Mikrofon yanıtı verirken bir donma bugu mevcut cidden akıcılığı etkiliyor ve can sıkıyor.

今の段階で、オキュラスクエスト２を繋げる前からPC上での起動が出来ず VRに接続するしないに関わらずサポートに連絡する旨の表示が出てフリーズします ご確認よろしくお願いします。 因みに他のスチームアプリはPCで起動します。

We need more conversations... Different places... different characters to talk to... Otherwise a good tool!!! Just needs more content!

(예 - Q : 지금 몇 시인가요? A : 6시) 학습하고자 하는 나라의 언어의 기본적인 구조를 이해하고 계시고 회화를 처음 해보고자 하는데 사람을 만나는 것이 두렵다 하시는 분에게는 두 시간 이내로 해보시고 환불을 생각해 보시는 것이 좋다고 생각합니다.
