Too hard? Bad controls? Smells like ♥♥♥♥♥ up in this review section. Played just fine, 100%'d the game. Learn the tech, grind your suit stats. It's a fun game, Super reminiscent of Federation vs Zeon and Gundam vs Zeta on the PS2
EN Review of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED: Battle Destiny Remastered As a remastered release based on a game from 2012, with HD visuals and only minor adjustments, I have to be fair: the controls and camera still feel like something from fourteen years ago. Let’s start with the positives. The nostalgia and story progression still carry a certain appeal. The game allows players to experience the SEED timeline from a third-party perspective, moving through side routes and creating different story scenarios along the way. It also adds several side-story mobile suits and related chapters, giving players a broader look at certain parts of the SEED universe. But honestly, that is where the positives end. The game’s flaws have only become more glaring with time. The camera issue is something many players have already pointed out, so I will not dwell on it too much. The controls, however, still follow the design logic of a fourteen-year-old game. It is hard to feel much sincerity from the developers when it comes to actually refining the gameplay experience. Instead, it gives off the unpleasant impression of using nostalgia as a way to cash in. That said, once I saw that the publisher was Bandai Namco, I suddenly felt a strange sense of acceptance. After all, BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls gave me a similarly disappointing experience. Still, refunding two games from the same company in a row feels a little rude, so I will probably keep this one. After all, no matter how flawed it is, it is still somewhat faithful to the original experience. Unfortunately, that “faithfulness” also seems to include preserving many of the problems from fourteen years ago.

姑且给个好评吧,万一万代尝到了甜头把 gvg 和联扎搬上来了呢?
It called MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED BATTLE DESTINY REMASTERED but not even close with PS2 version. Movement is super lame, you cannot move fast and agile like PS2 version of Gundam Seed Destiny - Rengou vs. Z.A.F.T. II Plus. Imagine piloting gundam but you cannot dash quickly into direction you want. 2025 game mechanic not even close with 2006 game, what a shame.
It's good, i just hope they remaster the other Artdink gundam games since i'm most interested in the UC timeline and playing them in english would be nice.
It's fun. Wish we had Co-op play though.
FOR THE PRESERVATION OF OUR BLUE AND PURE WORLD !!! THOSE ABOMINATIONS MUST BE ELIMINATED !
The game isn't particularly bad but for its price, I cannot recommend it. If it cost 15 euros, it would be worth it but right now, with a full price of 40, it's just theft. As for the game itself, you need to know you are paying for gameplay only, as the story is inexistent. Unless you know the show pretty well, the sparse narration will only get you confused as to what's happening, and because only a part of the casting is voiced and have faces, even the in-game banter will feel empty and sad (though it's a bit funny when Mu and Rau are locked into a deadly battle, with Rau making his grand speech and you one-shot him casually in the middle of it). Does that mean the gameplay is good to compensate the utter lack of effort and budget invested in the storytelling? Absolutely not! First it takes ages to get anywhere. Your boost gauge just vanishes at the speed of light with just a tap of a button, so when you have to reach a far away target or objective, only the mechs that have a plane transformation feel good to use. Second, more annoyingly, is when you have to destroy those same mechs, because you can never catch up to them. Infamously is Kira with the Meteor, because he goes very fast and never stops, and because he's an ace, he'll dodge everything you throw at him. Third, let's talk about the aces. They dodge and run away constantly so it's frustrating to fight them both at range (because nothing hits) and in melee (because you cannot get close). And even if you do get close, if they get the first hit on you they'll stunlock you until you die because they also hit very very hard. Fourth is the ammo system. For starters it's annoying because many times, when you have to quickly lock on your target, you'll target a supply crate nearby instead. Then, it's a redundant limitation because you still have to use your SP gauge to make your shots much faster and have a chance to hit the aces. So in short, the ammo will limit your ability to fight the normal enemies while the SP added on top will make you even more unfit to face the aces. Fith is subjective but because you have to push a button to cycle between your weapons, and because it takes a short but noticeable moment for the swap animation to happen, the fighting feels clunky, unimpressive and repetitive. Let's take the Dragoon system for example. You press a button, and your bits fly to your target. But they won't fire by themselves! You still need to press the same button to make them fire a few times, before they come back and spend time "reloading" (another bad side of the ammo system) before you can launch them again. Now for the good part. There's lots of machines to choose from and some are very good or very fun to use. I enjoyed both of the Murasame variants as well as all who have a retrofit option. For crowd control, the Providence has the best special that I found. Unlike all the others with a focused barrage or a huge beam that fire at one target and then can only shift a little while still firing, or the Strike Freedom who does the same but with his dragoon shooting secondary targets for low damage, the Providence also fires a fast focused barrage (sadly it doesn't go through obstacles like an Ultra Shot beam) but contrary to everyone else it can swap between targets immediately, making dispatching multiple weak units very easy and feels like a proper use of your SP gauge. Similar and from the same era, the Dynasty Warrior Gundam series were much better, fun and dynamic, and also put much more effort into the story parts (usually shortened due to the number of titles to cover) or also had an original story as is the case with the Dynasty series. Admittedly it also suffered from the endless grind common to the series with insane bosses that could one shot you, but you still felt adequately powerful (unless you played the Ball, that is). TL;DR: The game can be worth it if you can get it for 15 euros or less. If not, hard skip, especially if you like the Cosmic Era because you won't find what you like here.
