Absolutely fantastic game! Creative, innovative, cute and also incredbly fun to play. Simple to learn, easy onboarding, harder to master. I was never an overly great fan of creature-collectors, but this one is different as you ARE the creatures. The possibilities are really legion and really make a playthrough different from before. Not just the same but in different colors (except the elements). Real massive variety to mix and match nearly endlessly. Endgame even adds one notch and lets you mix-and-match your own creature (based on what you discovered so far) with their own skills. Even mix all elements. Can become a gimp or a god. Delicious. Also performs superb, very decent loading-times, great soundtrack and SFX (never became annoying), only encountered ONE bug where i got stuck (but there's an unstuck command) and that's about it. My only minor nitpicks: - Would've loved to have more to do as the wrangler. It mostly felt borderline pointless - Also would've loved to have way more maps where exploring is key, not just surviving waves. - Make more animations skippable (hatching eggs e.g.), for us impatient lil dumbdumbs who easily get bored :-) - Better "inventory" management. Make sorting persistant would also help A TON. This is the first game of the Devs and wow, they made it to my instant-buy-list. I really hope for DLCs or a part 2. What an entry into this market!
This game is unbelievably fun, please play it. As a Skylanders and Spore fan this game is perfect for me. I can't believe how much creature customizing there is, from the looks to the abilities to the moves, every character has hundreds of options you can change around to make broken builds to take on the endless mode. To the creators: Please PLEASE make DLC. I want more reason to keep playing the game, bring a real ending to the game. I will pay whatever for that.
Reminded me of the skylanders games which I loved as a kid, and all the creatures are extremely cool and unique. Love this game so far.
Monotonous fighting, boring storyline and every level is different but looks exactly the same - forgettably oversaturated. AI slop designed to hit those dopamine receptors as hard as it can. Artificially spaces gameplay by forcing you to walk arbitrarily from console to console to interact. Unskippable mini-cutscenes everytime you start a level or interact with something. The most unforgiveable sin, however, is how missions are locked behind a level cap, forcing you to replay some to unlock the next.
I do understand the "hype" about this game because the core gameplay and the evolution system are pretty good! However everything else .... is just mediocre at best! We live in times where dlss is included in nearly every game that uses UE or other engines - and even unity games get more and more dlss support - but not THIS UE title because devs dont bother. This "complete" game feels like an early stage of a well polished early access titel - not using the ea-tag here to not being forced to complete the game? who knows. The only voice over is in the very beginning using a very poor ai language model from the early days - beside that its read only - and its very immersion breaking! Graphics and ui are a mixed bad aswell - at times it looks good but the hub area and characters are just meh. The Vivarium - a big part of the game - is falling completely short here! A hugh missed opportunity! The sound design overall with volume mixing etc. is also just meh. Soo yeah ... sure you could say small dev team bli bla ... in the end this is an experienced AAA team which has worked on many AAA games before ... well probably they were just the less skilled bunch of em?! XD. I dont see that skill here! Hope in the future they will improve the game and add dlss which is not only a performance boost but also a graphic quality upgrade - and thats something all developers who dont include support always forget! Recommendation? 50% off IF you really like the core idea of this game!
я игру вернул, начало тошнить после пары часов, однотипный геймплей, фейк прокачка перса, которая заканчивается как только вы проходите 5 локаций, вся лока звездолета мне показалось ни о чем, даже лудоказино не спасает с открытием яиц
i recommend this heartily and i am gonna try and get everyone i know to play it. please add a spider species
The game play loop is quite satisfying and the min/max part of getting your strongest voidling is quite a chore, but it really pays off. I only stopped playing because the " end game" is a bit tedious having to start over at the beginning everytime. (Wich I could just go back to the tier I unlocked instead of having to start at 1 aevery time) There does seem to be a limit to the potential of your Voidlings and some perk are just borderline broken compared to other. But, this is a GOOD thing. I like to experiment and find the things that make everything tick. Anyways, solid game if not a little lacking in content and replay value. 8/10
Super fun game that combines the addictive gameplay of like a Monster Hunter, a Pokemon, and... idk... EVO or something. I was a little worried the combat would just be little monster arenas but there's some variety between exploration stages, survive 4 hordes, survive for 2 minutes, King of the Hill, etc. I like the variety of evolutions in each species and then once you unlock gene splicing, the world is your oyster. You can make some real dynamic builds. The game is pretty good at accommodating both slow and steady exploration prefer-ers as well as up close and personal melee combo mavens. If you have a specific way you like to play, there's probably a super solid build for it. One thing I really appreciated is that you can absolutely combine a bunch of traversal evolutions and basically navigate the level completely wrong looking for secrets and shortcuts. There is some jank but by and large, the game will let you get into weird nooks and crannies or snipe enemies from weird angles if you want. If I had one bit of feedback, I will say that it's very easy and very attractive to get out of bounds the game is very inconsistent with kill planes and OOB triggers. There are intended sequence breaks in levels and there are unintended OOB possibilities and the game doesn't really let you know which is which. It's janky but I don't mind because I often use the jank to my advantage but I can see some intrepid explorers getting a little frustrated that this ledge is safe and that ledge is a no-no zone even though it's super easy to get onto it. even so, I'm amazed the game holds together as well as it does with so many overlapping mechanics.
