... Who makes a platformer where pressing down/up on the left analog stick completely stops the character? Then thinks it's a good idea...
not worth 15aud
I've played for 4 hours, I was enjoying it, but now the game inputs freeze and it makes me auto run. There isn't any way to revert my save file and you can't do anything but force quit. And it looks like this game is dead, I don't think anyone is responding to bug reports, etc. I am not the only person experiencing this bug.. So.. If you want to play part of this game.. I guess at least it was on sale for cheap? You probably should not bother with this at all, however. I really liked the concept. It looks like they are working on a new game and left this one dead. :(
Miscreation is the original 2D take on EVO from the people who later made Strange Seed. Sure, it's a little buggy and awkward at times, but it's fun to gradually evolve your creature part by part. On sale for $1.50, you can't go wrong.
Good game, but... This is a good game, but I would like to acknowledge the (major elephant(s)) in the room: Firstly, there are various bugs, some of them make the game (almost) unplayable. Second, the music can get quite annoying, as well as the sound effects, so that's why I mute them half of the time. (don't get me wrong, the music is catchy and cute, but it just gets too dang repetitive.) The sound effects are alright, although every single time I start up the game, the music and the sound effects are turned on at MAX volume, making it almost unbearably loud. Third, Some of the boss fights mechanics are SO hard to figure out, such as Roseacea, the Unyielding. Rosa's attack patterns are so random, that I have had a heinous of a time trying to finish her off. I have had various attempts, several close, but I have not succeeded in defeating Rosa. Honestly, the game's pretty good, like I said. But Oracle Studios (or whatever your dev team's name is), if you guys are seeing this, you might want to check up on some of the game's overall mechanics and coding. Overall, I would say the game's a rough 3.5 out of 5 stars, but I would rate it higher, provided the game devs decide to tweak the coding and the game mechanics.
