Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom Complete Edition

Honestly I love peaky blinders as much as the next guy but this is a piss poor port of the quest version that just doesn't feel like a real pcvr title it should have been made a bit better with better gun play because it feels lame there's no real powerful moments (I Played the demo and compared it to the full release it's the same) it feels generic boring has piss poor optimization and was a quest exclusive for a year which just killed the game for me and the devs should have taken more time to make better animations gun play story etc instead of this until I see improvements I won't recommend this to anyone go buy a different game

I definetly expected more. The game is very short, get a good pace and you'll be done in 2 hours. After that it's just freeroam with only shooting ranges and no interactions. The cap you get at the end can't be worn once outside the garrison. Fighting scenes aren't impressive. You can see npc's spawn in and when you kill them they fall like in a 2000's shooter. IMO not worth the 20 bucks

I'm on a brand new $3,200 gaming PC with a Valve Index and I couldn't even get through the first area without the game glitching out and becoming unplayable... I managed to grab an apple though.

Just refunded after playing for 15 minutes, don't let the demo fool you. the full game runs like garbage, I'm running a 3080, ryzen 9 5950x and 32gb of ram and the game stutters, freezes and crashes constantly. It was a surprise considering the demo ran fine. don't support dev teams who knowingly ship out these broken, un-optimized messes. save your time and money and get a different game

Overall if you can ignore the issues. The game itself its pretty fun though the shooting challenges are hard to beat and take a bit of practice to master. The main story makes you want more but prepare for a abrupt ending. The Negatives Tommy really only gives you one mission…. Aside from freezing, stuttering, objects sinking through surfaces, lack of immersive story line it’s okay. The story line is short, character models are something I would have expected 10-15 years ago. The characters felt hollow, or void of emotion and life. Object grabbing needs tremendous work along with physics and object collision. My hands would constantly get stuck on large objects like crates, planks and barrels. Along with furniture and other environment scenes as well. Movement speed could be a bit faster or at least allow a brisk walk. Long stretches felt like they took longer than normal to pass through. The PvE targets were adequate, though attempting to use the sights on the pistol was near impossible given the scale. The environments themselves are rather bare. There may be one or 2 places you can enter in any given area, the areas themselves are small. It would be nice to have ammo spawn out in non PvE environments as well. Always fun to just shoot at random things. Grabbing or holding items for periods of time was an issue, as some random points the item I was holding would either drop and I would have to go find it. No place to store you hat, after 3 loading zones the hat would no longer bind to my head if removed. The Positives Any type of game VR or otherwise of the Peaky Blinders exists. In all seriousness though. The music is there, the intro with the environment placed text was interesting. The little story line there is has the potential to be captivating. Left on kind of a cliff hanger, so here’s to hoping there might be expansions made down the road. Dev Recommendations Add more story line or jobs for Tommy. Should have the ability to change your walk speed, or “sprint”. Make the sights on the gun easier to differentiate from the body of the gun. Definitely fix the freezing/stuttering issues. I have never experienced anything like that except when there is 70+ users in a VR Chat session. Improve hand tracking, colliders, grabbing/ Make the HUD hit-boxes easier to trigger, the main one being the cigarette. Make enemies more animated, they are kind of stiff with limited animation. Add the ability to refill your gun outside of enemy engagement/trial areas. Make Molotov’s and grenades easier to lob/throw. Fix the grab hit-box on the machine gun. Fix the hit-boxes on journal when wearing a hat. Often would grab the hat and had to before it would allow me to grab the journal. There is more but I am tired and can’t think of anything else to add now.

I love Peaky Blinders and was extremely happy when they announced that you got the chance to be a Peaky Blinder! Even in the demos and videos that they showed over several months i was impressed but now that i finally played it i was extremely disappointed. Pros: Your a Peaky Blinder You get to drink and smoke with Thomas Shelby Cons: Buggy ( the frames kept dropping every time i turned or moved my hands When you pull the journal it starts flying every where until you just drop it Gun play was terrible after you fire all your shots you have to look for ammo in these crates, you cant hold more than 1 mag and thats by holding it you cant store it on you, reloading was extremely difficult because every time i went to reload my gun it jumped to the other hand, and the 1911 holds 15 rounds ( kinda weird ) the animations for killing guys is super cheesy like a old school arcade DONT BUY THIS GAME NOT WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY sucks to write this but im disappointed we waited over several months and they gave us this cheap copy paste walking dead S&S BS

I can barely make it past the main menu before this game freezes. Horrible optimization and might have something to do with AMD cards. I tried lowering my resolution to 40% and the game still comes across some fatal error that freezes the game.
