Mirage: Beyond The Screen

The game has several issues that require optimization. I encountered a problem where I couldn't find a gun by the entrance, which prevented me from continuing the game. was this AI voiced?, because is terrible, this must been ported by a UE 2 to 5 to have such poor graphic quality, the settings menu are broken, you can't change audio settings in-game, and worse of all, how on earth does this consume so MUCH cpu power, overall just a poorly tech-demo over-priced. Edit: even the game .exe/task manager name, isn't the same as the one listed here, it shows as "Split"

Unfortunately in its current state the game is nearly unplayable. There is very little direction as to how to complete puzzles/ use the controls. The menu does not work as stated previously by other gamers. The "castle" at the start is very dark and its difficult to see anything inside. Overall since the developer hasn't worked on it since December I would have to heed caution before picking this one up. It might actually be good if the issues were addressed. 2/10

I couldn't get the graphics to work properly for Mirage: Beyond the Screen but was still able to do some things in it. If you are using a laptop (even a gaming laptop), it most likely won't show everything. I had this problem on every variation of the graphics settings and don't know if it was the game or my laptop. I would have played it for longer but couldn't get further than needing to get a gun. i give it a 5/10 because i can't give anything higher or lower than a neutral rating due to not playing the game fully Edit: After reading some reviews i found out it hasn't been worked on for a long time and until they update it i'm keeping this a negative neutral review

Feels like an unoptimized demo rather than a finished product. The voice over is subar with bad English, and there's no option to turn off the horrible motion blur. It's a neat premise but not worth it in its current state - it can be completed in about 15 to 20 minutes.

The developers deserve applause for avoiding unnecessary filler content, allowing the game to maintain an intense and gripping pace throughout. This journey is a thrilling ride. Every moment is packed with suspense, keeping us on the edge of the seats. With its concise yet action-packed gameplay, it delivers a gripping experience that leaves a lasting impression long after the game is over. Absolutely loved the transition from the apartment into the game and back!
