One of those Trials-like games where you have to perform stunts but with a BMX. You know what, the game wouldn't be that bad if it was actually more responsive, especially when you need to click on 2 buttons/keys at once. Not saying the game is complete garbage, it has something going for it, but it's just a pain in the butt for no good reason.
2D bmx game with tricks in short levels. The game feels like educational-software, instead of playing around on a bike :( Where's the fun? - tutorial is clunky, not intuitive + graphics are colorful and cheerful - music is generic + tricks are not hard to execute - Feels like a mobile game: short levels, score stars, next level. (this setup isn't bad, but the gameplay is not interesting to me) Not recommended for 15 euro
Gaining speed in this game is a damn joke.
This game sucks! It's worse than terrible. The controls are a mess whether you are using keyboard or a controller. Also I think the music is just playing the same 20-30 seconds on repeat.
Feels like a scuffed Trials game made for mobiles. If you can get it for free or a dollar it might be worth wasting a bit of time during a lunchbreak. Full asking price for this is highway robbery. Worked under Proton, had to enable Steam Input to get my Stadia Controller to be detected.
the shockingly bad follow-up to pumped bmx +. more of the same with no improvements is one thing but they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the controls up even more. still only the unity launcher for resolutions, windowed mode and an overall graphics quality setting, still no rebindable controls, and get this, arrows only partially work for menu navigation. within the seriously lacking settings only page up/down works to switch between controls (just a list), sound (2 sliders), unlocks (whatever they are) and credits. arrows adjust volume and function in the main menu, so what the ♥♥♥♥? at least they forgot to remove mouse support. bike and rider customization got separated for extra menu navigation and it says 'replay tutorials' from the start, even though I never touched them and only the first is unlocked initially. they are part of the level packs now for added confusion, that's why it says replay, I guess, which is still not accurate on first startup. and that's why the other tutorial stages remain locked until later. speaking of, the tutorial is a buggy mess. in the first one I botched the landing after a 360 but it still continued to the next phase, and after giving up on the second thing in tutorial #2 and skipping it, it got marked as all 4 challenges complete. another genius idea was to bind 'esc' to confirm stuff in the tutorial instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enter, like in the rest of the game, and 'p' to pause instead of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ esc. 'x' is restart, the least problematic one. 60 levels in 6 packs this time. a certain amount of challenges unlocks the next pack, every level is immediately playable. the next unlock goal is only shown once, in the form of 'hey, you have new levels, next pack after 40 more challenges', so unless you noted how many you had, it's impossible to tell when the next will unlock. with my patience very much in the negative now, I didn't even unlock the 3rd pack while I completed every level in the first game 8 years ago, but I edited the save to check out the scenery. turns out, simply completing a level isn't a goal/challenge, starting in pack 3, another ♥♥♥♥ move. there are also multiple lanes sometimes, kindly hidden behind scenery, on top of rain coming down in one of the environments. and it might've been the same in the first one but you can't always see where you're gonna land, which would be crucial in a game like this. won't nail everything, or possibly anything, on the first try, but come on. cracking up fun to negative 11. graphics are a bit better, there's some wildlife in the background, but music is incredibly repetitive and gameplay didn't change one bit. hold space for momentum, let go to jump, do tricks with wasd, arrows and shift, ♥♥♥♥ up timing or landing, try again. and while during normal play enter is confirm, esc still doesn't pause, ever, and tricks can't be viewed from the pause menu, have to press a different key for a different window. ridiculous. all they did was ruin the controls further, make more levels and bump the price from 10 to 15 eur for an inferior product. a disgrace. if you're hankering for bmx stunts, there are better options, including bmx+ if it's 90% off, but that would still give money to these hacks, so look for something else and definitely skip this pile of lazy mobile trash.
По играл не иного не понравилось управление.
It's a bad game that could've been good if the developers spent more time refining the core gameplay loop. Doing tricks can be cool, but there's just not enough space to do them with because they're compartmentalized in such tiny ass levels. I think back to games like Action Henk and what they got right is if you want to go for speed, you go for speed, if you want to go for tricks, you go for tricks. There is no real way to modify your speed here apart from your positioning and that's probably why the gameplay sucks so hard. The unskippable tutorial is downright patronizing to the player, as is the mechanic where you automatically fall over if you fall below a certain speed or are stationary. The presence of very poorly composed royalty-free music doesn't surprise me because it rounds out what you would think a complete game is like, but I would've preferred no music rather than pretending the music rounds out the package. It's a weird, fake trendy type of beat. Short to say, the $14.99 non-sale price is definitely not justified here. Please go spend your money on a better game.
